It's a cute little hotel on a nice small square of schmölln. Room was clean, silent, breakfast was delicious and rich. But there are some basic things missing(like soap and shampoo in the bathroom and so on), but that's probably because their tourist season has not started yet so they were not completely ready. The price was also fair and lower than the other hotels in the center.

When we are in the region to visit relatives, we always like to use Mr. Baum's hotel. It is centrally but quietly located and the whole house is very well maintained. For breakfast, Mr. Baum offers a generous buffet and always friendly service. Price/performance ratio is right here and the family atmosphere is an added bonus. Great! We'd love to come back!

Great little hotel on Brückenplatz with a lot of heart. The garden is idyllic and the location is quiet although not far from the center. An ideal place for rest and excursions into the beautiful surroundings of the Altenburger Land.

We stayed in this hotel for four days. It is in a nice, quiet location and has 9 rooms. So a small but really nice hotel. The double room was a bit small but since we were out all day anyway, it was enough. Everything was very clean. The balcony on the room was also very nice and you could sit there nice in the evenings. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food since they were actually on vacation, but the breakfast buffet was great with a lot of choice. We'd love to come back next year.

We arrived as a married couple for a wedding celebration. We were very satisfied! A rich buffet was set up for breakfast. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We felt like we were in good hands and can recommend this cute little hotel 🤗Everything top and very well maintained

Unfortunately the restaurant is closing at the end of this year. But hotel operations remain. It's a shame, the food was always fantastic.

A very good restaurant, friendly service. Good dishes, very tasty. You can order a table at any time. The landlord is very open-minded and accommodating to his guests. I canCan only recommend Cafe Baum.

And we experienced another positive surprise when we visited this property. We were exploring Schmölln and happened to come across this lovely restaurant. The food is fresh and very tasty. Very good value for money. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

The food was good but lukewarm. For the price, these are mini portions. We had tongue and goose leg. The drumstick and dumplings were mini. I had four paper-thin slices of tongue. I eat tongue in every restaurant. But I've never experienced anything like that. Price performance doesn't fit. We won't go there anymore.
