The guesthouse is located in the immediate vicinity of the center of Göhren, but is still very quiet. Evchen is the good soul of the complex; together with her husband Bernd they look after guests. Always an open ear and ready to chat. I look forward every time I move into my accommodation there. The family atmosphere is what guarantees a wonderful and relaxing holiday, regardless of the advantages of the location.

Terrific!!Great holiday apartments, lovingly furnished. We had a large bathroom and a really large balcony where you can spend wonderful evenings. The entire holiday complex is very well maintained, lovingly decorated and planted. Fam Förster is always friendly and always available for small and large concerns.Shopping opportunities are right around the corner. The apartments are close to the beach. All in all, it was so nice here that we booked again for next year.

There are rarely holiday apartments in which you feel comfortable so quickly. My husband and I travel a lot. But we have rarely experienced such a beautiful atmosphere. The Kastanienhof has everything you could wish for: the beach can be reached on foot in just a few minutes, the rooms are spacious and have the wooden balconies typical of the area, the hosts are always helpful and the viewing point right behind the house is second to none.

We are very happy to have found the Kastanienhof. We have been to Rügen and also to Göhren several times. But we've never had it so good! The house and the apartments are very well maintained. We had a terrace with a view of the garden and the wide green meadow. You rarely have this much space. The children were thrilled and were able to run around outside the whole time. Everyone was completely satisfied. Highly recommended.

The guesthouse has a beautiful garden, nice owners, but unfortunately our apartment was in great need of renovation. There was new flooring, but that was all. The bathroom was old and no longer nice. …

An extraordinary apartment with individual charm - clean, cozy and cared for with a lot of love. The owners are warm, interested and approachable. From the balcony you can look out into a rustic, flowery and green garden, which is tended and cared for by Mrs. Förster. Here people take great care of each other and live together in a warm atmosphere. We would like to thank you for a wonderful week full of little stories and tips for happy places in the area (e.g. the Speckbusch opposite with a great view)!

Had wonderful days here last May. We received a super friendly welcome. Room was neat and clean and provided with all amenities. The bed was super comfortable and we slept wonderfully. And the hostess was super FRIENDLY. And we enjoyed the beautiful view close to the road where she immediately took us and explained to us what the view was. Highly recommended to go here, which is still in our plans.

The Kastanienhof is a top address if you are looking for rest and relaxation. The beautiful grounds are very well maintained and the garden is a real dream. We were there with the family in the summer and despite the location in the Baltic Sea resort, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. The view in front of the church is particularly great and is literally just a stone's throw from the house. Our children especially liked the cute house cat. Restaurants and shopping opportunities can also be found in the surrounding area. There is also parking at the house, which was very helpful. All in all, a very nice holiday.

You go to this guesthouse and you're at home. This hasn't happened to me before, even though I've traveled all over the world. I would immediately adopt the two hosts, Evelyn and Bernd, as parents; they are both full of positive energy.This island changed me, even though I had never been here before, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had been here before. As if hypnotized, you are drawn to the bacon bush every day. I actually just wanted to visit Cape Arkona, as I often sailed past there during my active seafaring days. Disappointing, as the photos of the rooms promise much more than ours was in actual condition. We didn't feel comfortable. The room was clean, but smelled very musty and of stale air. The beds were only covered with simple sheets (never appropriate for the size) and old GDR? feather beds. There were two wooden planks placed crosswise under the bed. The furniture is jumbled together and looks very inexpensive. Overall, there is a lack of feeling for suitable decoration and tasteful accessories (e.g. pictures/frames). The signs of wear on the sofa were covered with a throw. The bathroom was simple, with a shower, toilet and sink; but it smelled very bad; despite a small fan.The curtains in the sleeping area were just the simplest curtains that never covered the entire window and certainly didn't darken the room for sleeping.We were warmly welcomed and the breakfast was good and sufficient, even with some home-made ingredients (e.g. jam). Coffee was always refilled.The complex is nice, the balcony is okay and everything is close to the center. Overall, a lot of things would have to be renewed so that the price is justified!We find it more than questionable to charge an additional parking fee for the price, as the space belongs to the property and was not read/heard about in advance.
