The old rectory has a very nice location away from the tourist crowds on Rügen. There is a corner shop and a very good inn in town. A swimming area on the lagoon and a lookout tower can be reached on foot. …

I visited the old rectory on Rügen for the first time with my partner. Despite our late arrival, which we were able to easily announce by phone or email, we were welcomed quickly and were able to quickly move into our room on the ground floor with its own entrance. The accommodation was as hoped, authentic with the charm you would expect from such an old and beautiful house. The breakfast was very varied and with many from our own production or the region. The beautiful garden with the beautiful old trees and views invited you to linger on the various seating areas. The departure time of 12 p.m. was also pleasant. After checking out you were able to soak up some sun before unfortunately heading home again. We were very satisfied and certainly not the last time there. One small thing would be that you should have mosquito repellent with you but there is also a mosquito spray in the room. The rectory is located in a part of Rügen that is still relatively quiet and has still retained its originality.

If you want to have complete peace and quiet, then you've come to the right place here. The Zimmermann family (owners, landlords) is very nice. The breakfast consisted largely of home-made products, including the bread, the rolls (freshly prepared in the morning), the jam, etc. Really delicious. The rectory is a bit out of the way and completely surrounded by greenery. You can see some agriculture, including 2 sheep, a small cow and several chickens running around there. A small vineyard was planted. The house itself is old and lovingly restored. With the usual age-appropriate "disadvantages" that there are creaks and creaks, the doors are sometimes not easy to close, etc. On the lower floor, the bathroom (shared?) is not in or in the room, but is accessible via the hallway. At the top, after two very steep stairs, you are in the former attic and have everything there, including your own bathroom. What I found unfortunate is the fact that you can't lock your rooms. You have a key for the front door and that's it. I never knew that based on trust.

On the way to the accommodation we gave the landlord our arrival time via booking because we were stuck in a traffic jam for a long time. Suddenly we were informed of a cancellation, which took several attempts to reach by phone and were downright rejected!!We had to book new accommodation for that night, so we had to pay twice. Our room couldn't be locked, mosquito repellent was fun factor. Price-performance in no relation. The only positive thing was the breakfast. No recommendation from us!

We would like to thank our hosts for giving us the opportunity to spend the night in the rectory from 1843. The house, which is under monument protection, is located on a natural plot of land where, in addition to the farm dog, pigs, sheep, ducks, chickens, etc. also find their home. The rich breakfast consisted, among other things, of home-made jams, honey from the local beekeeper, and sausage from our own pigs. The property is very quiet and you will find a lot of peace there. We had a view of the lake from our rooms.

A very beautiful and old renovated rectory from around 1850.Very nice hosts combined with a great breakfast where 95% of everything comes from our own production. A lot of peace and idyll is the order of the day here. Can only be recommended.Thank you again for the good food.

A very cozy, listed old rectory, which has been lovingly rebuilt. Anyone looking for absolute peace will find it there. A non-intrusive operator couple who live in the house themselves and ensure the physical well-being of their guests. The breakfast is probably different than you know it, but definitely wonderful with almost all of the products made in-house. House dog Luna and tomcat also welcome the guests. What you should know is that there are no lockable doors, at least not when you are outside the room, and there is no TV. It doesn't bother us because we were looking for absolute peace anyway. It's worth a visit and we'll definitely come back.

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere but beautiful. Yes, it is a bit hidden but the view of a nature reserve makes up for it all. We had the attic room which was lovingly furnished. The peace and quiet there is wonderful. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and consisted almost exclusively of home-made food. The seating in the garden was great, and a few curious ducks might even stop by. The dog Luna, who doesn't miss the opportunity to greet the guests, is also a real love. The landlords are very nice without being intrusive. Unfortunately we were only there for one night but only the morning was relaxing like 2 days of doing nothing.

Well thought out concept that we really liked. For breakfast, almost everything is made in-house. Absolute peace. You can really switch off without any media impressions because there are no televisions. Very nice couple who are living their dream with a lot of love. We were able to switch off really well and would love to come back.

Unfortunately, you can only warn future guests here! The old rectory is actually a beautiful listed building. Quiet rural location not far from the unique lagoon landscape. When we arrived we called in advance because we were a little early.Well, when we arrived, we saw a man on the farm who greeted us quite coldly and felt it was more important to continue to look after the animals than to briefly welcome the paying guests 🙃He said we could walk around the house and look at a room. The room was more like a closet and wasn't furnished with much care. Of course it's an old house and the furnishing style has to match it, but everything seemed very cold. In addition, the door to the room couldn't even be locked properly.Since there were three of us, we still had one room. This was in the attic. What we didn't realize before booking was that the owners live in the house. This already limits privacy. When the man finally found time to show us the rest of the rooms and we entered the main entrance, we were immediately greeted by the cold smell of smoke. There is a lot of smoking here, we immediately thought. We went to the attic where our second room was. Actually a great room, like a kind of loft. There was definitely a problem with cleanliness, especially in the bathroom. If no more water comes out of the hand shower and the shower head because they are completely calcified, then no attention is paid to it. The shower curtain or the rod was temporarily attached and was hanging by a thread. When we were shown the kitchen, which is simply the owners' private kitchen, we were met with an even more intense smell of smoke. So you should have breakfast here? No thanks! Just disgusting. There were a few beer bottles on the table in the kitchen and the man was already quite high on alcohol, but that's none of our business. But none of this works if guests also enter the private rooms. This means you also have little privacy. If you're into something like that, you've come to the right place. After we left the house again in the evening, we were briefly spoken to by the owner. She looked at us a little strangely and didn't understand why we wanted to go out to eat again. We could have had dinner with the two of them together. Here too, it must be said that the lack of sympathy towards us was noticeable. But the strange conversation made it mutual.Whether it was because we are not that green and alternative or because we had only booked one night, I don't know, in any case we didn't feel welcome. Conclusion: €70 per person & per night for this accommodation is insane. We are currently not in season, nor are the standards raised in any way. Should it be the experience that determines the price? We have already had accommodations on Rügen that were cheaper and had new furnishings.Incidentally, the smell of smoke naturally also moves into the attic and the clothes absorb it wonderfully.I can only recommend reading the reviews on Booking! The same points are criticized there. I can't explain how the positive reviews came about because we were happy we only booked one night there! There was no farewell when we left either. Our rejection of the oh-so-great breakfast probably didn't go down so well. Politeness needs to be learned!
