We've stayed here for a spontaneous week long holiday in June 2020 after Covid lockdowns ended in Germany. Some of the the rooms were being renovated at the time so I can only talk about the old rooms.Even those older ones despite being a bit outdated were clean and still very comfortable with a big bathroom, dining table with comfy chairs, fridge and TV. They also came with free wifi.Location is great: big parking right there (not free of charge), the beach and a few supermarkets are nearby. Restaurants, shops etc. in walking distance. It's advertised as a hostel so one shouldn't expect luxury or daily cleaning and towel changes here but we've stayed in far fancier hotels across Europe where this didn't happen every day. Sometimes it can be a little noisy depending on your neighbours but it can happen everywhere, we were mostly tired from the beach activities so it didn't bother us that much.Overall it's very good value for the money. Also not to forget as an extra bonus: those Midsummer Sunsets were beautiful to watch late at night from our huge windows on the last floor.

Rooms good so far. The equipment includes a bed, television, WiFi, 1 table with 2 chairs, a refrigerator and a bathroom with toilet and shower, sink. There is also a small anteroom. The great thing is that it works with code entry to the room. There is a laundromat next to the entrance, which you can only use with an app (Washing App).

Last year we booked spontaneously and very cheaply for a week in the middle of the summer season. The room was probably one of the newer ones.Very well maintained, everything in white and clean.Felt more like a normal hotel room, not a hostel. We were on the 4th floor on the south-west side with a beautiful view, so in the evening we preferred to eat in the room by the large open window at sunset rather than in the restaurant. Very nice!

Puristic, but not uncomfortable. The hostel is being modernized. Unfortunately, my room was from earlier days and a bit antiquated. However, completely sufficient and functional for my short trip. The whole house is a little noisy (stop). However, since I was dead tired every evening from the beach, the sun and the wonderful waves, it didn't really bother me - it was just unusual. It's just 10 minutes to the beach - optimal conditions on the beach should be emphasized at this point. This hostel is therefore highly recommended. Especially for a short trip like the one I had. There is only two stars deducted for the rooms because I had one of the older ones, which was only 5 euros cheaper than the newer rooms. You could lower the price a bit again. Service is still tip-top and I would be happy to come back :) Thanks to the management for the short-term accommodation despite the high season.

Great hostel, we'll definitely be back. The only small drawback are the expensive parking fees and the fact that, unfortunately, WiFi is not available everywhere. You shouldn't forget that it's a hostel, you shouldn't expect housekeeping, a huge breakfast buffet, etc. but that's the point of the thing. You get a great vacation for little money. 😊Otherwise everything was great, the room was perfectly fine, there was a TV and a fridge, you can reach everything important on foot and the best thing is that you can quickly get to the beach 🥰Staff is also very friendly.

The rooms were clean, only ours smelled of decay. Even room spray wasn't enough. The emergency exit to the roof is locked with a padlock!? In an emergency you would first have to find someone with a key.

It's a hostel/sleeping house and that's how it's advertised everywhere! You shouldn't expect a star hotel here with daily room cleaning and towel changes. If you are looking for something like this or value upscale amenities, you should try the Seetelhotels, Steigenberger, Ahlbecker Hof and Co.... The rooms are functionally furnished, spacious and equipped with a bathroom, TV and refrigerator. The renovated rooms are bright and friendly with kitchenettes (hotplates and microwave). You have to bring your own dishes, cutlery, etc.! The old rooms are partly "shabby", but still clean and still TOP for the price.Parking space 7€/day ... you can do this or you can look for a private parking space externally (e.g. for 4€/day)WiFi available / just not advertisedElevator available / just not advertisedChildren are allowed / there are just NO extra bedsAldi/Edeka 5 minutes walk awayBeach 10 minutes walk awayI don't fully understand some of the reviews. There is clear communication everywhere and before I go somewhere, I inquire about the accommodation...It's one of the cheapest Usedom has to offer, so you shouldn't expect any luxury! For my part, I only come to the room to sleep, shower and eat, but the location and price/performance are TOP. The staff is also very friendly. This was my third stay (in the old and new rooms) at Dünenweg 16 and I will be coming back next year.

Bockig Com advertises this hostel as a dormitory and not as a hotel or similar. You should prepare for this beforehand. Then you can have very nice days. I had booked almost 2 weeks and was able to spontaneously add a few more days. My room was kept clean and functional. Small TV, fridge, enough space for clothes and luggage (closet, chest of drawers), small table, chair and bed. I've experienced things differently in hotels. When you run out of toilet paper you can get it within walking distance, from Aldi or Edeka. If you spend time on the beach, you bring sand into your room every day. There are brooms, hand brushes and dust pans behind the door. The room will not be cleaned during the stay. There is no housekeeping, as is usual in hotels. For a longer stay you should plan a change of towels. Recently you can also wash them in the basement. There are a few washing machines available. The reception is not staffed 24 hours a day.Parking is certainly cheaper in town, but then you just have to walk. As I said, with this knowledge in advance you can have very nice days. Gladly again.

To be honest: They are trying hard and want to make a lot possible... there is a lot of improvisation and a lot of patching. The only good thing is the location, the rest is nothing for the price.During the entire time booked there wasn't even any cleaning (6 nights) and no towels were exchanged... on the contrary, extra towels cost extra money, as does an extra toilet paper roll (1 roll = €1) 🤔It works differently elsewhere too

We had booked a large, newly renovated double room and there were two of us plus a small child. The room was very spacious and modernly furnished, we didn't miss anything. It was also really very clean! Nevertheless, we have to deduct points for the unfriendliness of the reception and the check-in. Check in was from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., 12:30 p.m. We wanted to put our child down for a nap... in the waiting area of the reception we were told that our child should please be quiet after he laughed a little louder... extremely inappropriate, as we all know Children don't have an OFF button and I don't know why my child isn't allowed to laugh heartily. In addition, our room was not ready and we had to wait until 2:30 p.m.!! Had to wait (since 12:30) to get to the room.Otherwise, price/performance OK.
