Very nice hotel. Friendly people, very good price/quality balance and very modern. The rooms are big and modern. Maybe a small fridge would be great to complete the rooms. Also very good restaurant. When the weather allows a very nice veranda and outside terras is available. To recommend if you’re in the area.

Very large and modern rooms, the whole house seems to have recently undergone a major renovation. The restaurant offers a small, fine selection of various dishes, including regional and seasonal ones. Both the venison ragout and the baked potato were very tasty. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and very tasty. Unfortunately there are only three stars for the location, the nearby country road unfortunately creates a background noise that cannot be ignored

We celebrated our wedding here and are completely thrilled and can highly recommend the Hotel Grünwalde. Even during the planning and preparation, the collaboration was very pleasant and accommodating. At the celebration itself, we were thrilled by the delicious food and the great, fast service! This is something you rarely experience anywhere else and our guests have repeatedly praised the good food and the very friendly and professional staff. We also stayed there with over 40 guests, so we can also recommend the rooms. They are very large, clean and well equipped. You feel comfortable here! The breakfast the next morning is second to none - we were absolutely impressed by the large selection as well as the freshness of the products and the loving preparation. We would be happy to come back at any time and can warmly recommend the Hotel Grünwalde to anyone who wants to organize a great celebration where you don't have to worry about anything, you can just enjoy it! :)

We celebrated my son's confirmation there. The food was top! We ordered platters that were regularly refilled so that everyone was full. The medallions and chicken were super tender. The side dishes were also very tasty.

We wanted to spend two nights here with our four and two year old children because of a wedding nearby. After the first night was torture in the basically clean and modern room. I had to sleep on an extra bed (single sofa cushions, see photo), which didn't deserve the name, it got really bad on the second night:We got to the hotel around 11:30 p.m. You could get into the hotel with the room card, but the card no longer worked on the room door. We then went back to the unmanned reception to look for an emergency number. The announcement came over the reception receiver: "The reception is open until 9 p.m., after that please write an email..." We looked at each other questioningly, in the meantime our two-year-old had woken up in the car and started screaming. We desperately looked for an emergency number, but there was no contact at reception anywhere. After we had searched everything (all cupboards were open, we had employment contracts, invoices, orders in hand... Greetings to the data protection officer go out...), we called random numbers from the notice board behind the reception until we found one We had a service provider on the phone who kindly gave us the number of the “still owner” of the hotel. He answered - it was now midnight - and said he would try to reach someone. After ten minutes of nothing happening, we called again, whereupon he first asked how we got his number... He said he had spoken to someone on the voicemail, and that was all he could do now... then it was hung up without comment, when we called again the cell phone was switched off... WITHOUT WORDS... we then called about 7 hotels in Bielefeld and the surrounding area (where, by the way, someone was still answering the phone at that time), but it was no other room available. We then drove back to the wedding location and were able to go to sleep with our two small children while the bass continued to pound in the hallway. If we hadn't had this opportunity, we would have had to lie down in the car or drive home for four hours at night. ...we were called by a number at some point when we were putting our children back to sleep, and when we called back, no one answered. The next morning I went to the hotel and the receptionist explained to me at the room door that we had probably pressed a button on the inside of the door so that the door could no longer be opened from the outside. We were not made aware of this closure before, even with regard to our small children. An emergency number cannot be maintained due to a lack of staff. To top it off, it was first explained at the breakfast table that there was no room for us and our other relatives in the restaurant because everything was full...We didn't see the need to pay anything for this miserable service...We're really surprised that there isn't even an emergency number here. Just imagine the following situations:- A small child is in the room and presses the button on the inside of the room door...after 9 p.m. the only option the parents have is to call the fire department in order to get into the room promptly...- A solo traveler suffers a medical emergency in his room and manages to call an emergency doctor... he may come to the hotel, but how does he then get into the room (without the fire department)?- A guest loses his chip card but has to go to the room urgently, for example to take his diabetes medication...- At two o'clock in the morning a water pipe bursts in one of the rooms...should the guests then write an email and go back to sleep? For the reasons mentioned, we cannot recommend the hotel and will make sure in the future that someone is still available at night - this should not be underestimated, especially with small children or people with limited health.

We were at the Hotel Grünwalde with a few girls at the weekend. We really enjoyed it there, from the reception to the departure. I can only say everything was great. The rooms are very nice, the restaurant with its two winter gardens is wonderful. The food is excellent (high praise to the chef). The area around the hotel is also ideal for hiking and cycling, or just to relax, as it is in a quiet location I would also like to highlight the service (some hotels can learn a lot from that) and last but not least I would like to give a lot of praise to the hotel manager Madlen and her brother Marcel, you are great, keep it up. I can do this Recommend the hotel 100 percent. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much!!!
