Visited the restaurant as a couple, nice shady spot in the courtyard. Reasonable time for ordering drinks and food. The food was excellent, highly recommended. Small downside, the cellar doors were cleaned during the meal, the smell of the cleaning products was disturbing while eating.

The hotel is located in the middle of the pretty wine-growing town of St. Martin in der Pfalz. The food in the restaurant is good and when the weather is nice you can sit comfortably in the courtyard. The service in the restaurant is okay, but you can't do anything without a reservation, even as a hotel guest. We felt less comfortable in the hotel, which was due to the room (Baron) and the reception. We didn't have the feeling of being welcome or rather guests seemed to be a nuisance. The room is huge (approx. 8x6), but very carelessly furnished. In the modern bathroom there are no windows but glass blocks, just like in the hallway. At 30 degrees outside temperature, like in a sauna. There is no welcome drink and no minibar or at least a refrigerator. In the family business, no one introduced themselves by name until the end. When billing we were told that there were a lot of complaints about this room in particular. It's the most expensive. We don't understand why. We would have liked it to be cleaner and the breakfast was mediocre. There are many very nice hotels in town where the price-performance ratio is right.

We had dinner here twice. My 2 cordon bleus were absolutely top notch. The other dishes - asparagus, spinach dumplings - were very tasty. The prices were reasonable, even very reasonable.Highly recommended.I'm looking forward to next year.
