On the way to Denmark we stopped for the night at the X-Hotel.Very easy late arrival. Spacious, clean, very pleasant room. We took advantage of a good night to continue our journey.

Well... if I book a double room, I'll probably come with 2 people, right? We only found a blanket, pillow and towel. When I asked over the phone, I was told that I had only paid for one person. So paid for a second person at short notice. Blankets etc. only arrived after malicious inquiries shortly before 10 p.m.The room was very spacious and modern. We couldn't find a WiFi code anywhere...Nicely centrally located in town.Parking becomes tight when the restaurant is full.

If the website doesn't allow an availability check these days and only when you try to complete the booking does it show that this room category is fully booked, then that's a disgrace and definitely not customer/hospitable. We then booked another accommodation. Definitely not recommended (and I come from the industry myself).

Newer building with newer facilities. Comfortable beds, bad pillows. Too fluffy and soft. I quickly bought my own from JYSK for the second night.Facility simple but ok. Bed, armchair, couch, small Table, TV. A desk is missing!TV channel totally blocked.Bathroom small but ok.After arriving and spending the first night on Sunday, my room wasn't cleaned on Monday evening. That doesn't work at all.No AP on site. Check in and check out are completely independent. Didn't even meet any of the staff at any time.In this respect, light and shadow. If you look at what's on offer in the area, it's still one of the better hotels. The location to the city of Emsdetten is good.

Pleasant and friendly hotel. Owners and employees very friendly and open. Room/suite very comfortably furnished. It is a few (10 minutes) walk from the train station.You can indulge yourself in the in-house restaurant. Price performance is right.We'll be back

Great concept. Lots of space for families. Right on a main road, which increases accessibility but can also have disadvantages.The breakfast is absolutely amazing, a mix of Central Europe and the Orient. Everything was super tasty. The team at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Special requests are happy to be processed.

I spent a night at this hotel with my family, wife and two kids. We absolutely loved the room setting.It was a bit different locating the entrance of the hotel as this is not on the roadside.Our check-in was a bit long for two reasons:1. I didn't receive the check-in information promptly.2. Somehow the computer didn't capture the booking for my two kids.These issues were resolved via a phone call and further bank transfer to the hotel, and I promptly received thr check-in information.NB. This is a self check-in hotel.

My stay at the X-Hotel was disappointing. There was no reception in my room and the internet access voucher, which was supposed to be valid for 8 days, stopped working after three days. I tried with several devices but to no avail. I cannot recommend the hotel.

I have never experienced such a bad hotel. In short: I strongly recommend that you look for another hotel - especially for the price.- No staff at check-in. Cards were placed by all guests on a table for self-service. Security? Data protection? None. I was really afraid of someone else coming into my room at night. There was never any staff on site.- Rooms are generally newly furnished, but definitely very worn and poorly maintained. We were greeted by a disgusting, stale smell in the room. There was already mold in the corner. The surfaces were greasy and definitely not cleaned. Cobwebs are also in the corners of the room. I don't want to sleep here another night.- The parking situation is catastrophic. The parking lot is super winding and far too small for the size of the hotel. An absolute no-go for the remote location.Update:The answer from the hotel should actually be enough of a deterrent for you. No apologies whatsoever - just excuses. Half of the problems are not even addressed. The highlight is: There was no employee there at check-out.

Recommendation yes, but with one restriction: if you have a room facing the street, the windows have to be closed due to street noise if you want to sleep.Rooms are modern, clean, spacious and stylishly furnished.Why an unsuitable toilet lid was chosen is a mystery to me 😂.Restaurant is highly recommended.Breakfast has sufficient selection.
