The music event in front of the hotel was good

Stay October 10-11, 2024Reception? there was none: the doorbell was answered by an unfriendly man who opened the door, the room key message was ready on a table where there were several envelopes. This, without names of guests but with DZ (double room) and EZ (single room) on it. I took the only EZ, room 23. Since I had a suitcase, I took the elevator to the 2nd floor. It fellI noticed that the elevator was very dirty. This was also the case in the bathroom, which contained both live and dead insects. The only towel was clean but frayed. Unfortunately, no hot water at all during my stay. During breakfast there was a young lady present, after a conversation with her it turned out that the hot water had not been working for 2 days. This was not reported to me by “the remote reception”, so no chance to look for another hotel. I got the strong impression that this was deliberately not reported. Several attempts to make my complaint known went unanswered. Room 23 was ok in size, the bathroom was “fancy styled” and equipped with, among other things, a purchase shower, the room with Nespresso coffee machine. Given the questionable hygiene in this hotel, I removed the water reservoir of the coffee machine. This was also extremely gross. I don't understand how this hotel can be recommended with 4.5 stars…

The space in the rooms was good, but the hotel is generally dirty and you did not get clean towels. The breakfast was very basic, so not much choice. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, but others there and then nothing. Also the location is close to the exit area, so it is quite noisy in the evening and night. A good starting point for cycling

No reception, everything only via intercom. Promised parking space not available. I didn't see anything of a restaurant, there isn't even a drink on Saturday evening. It's a shame that the Residenz Hotel was full, the prices are similar

The rooms are super clean and very spacious.The staff is friendly, helpful.The location is great, but there is a lack of sufficient parking spaces.One star less because the breakfast was very spartan, but all the dishes and the rolls were fresh, and even the fried eggs were freshly made.It should also be noted that breakfast is available 1 hour later on weekends, i.e. from 8:00 a.m.

The hotel is very pleasant once you're in it. It has no reception. From shortly before 4 p.m. there was only someone on site. A bell next to the door connects you to a telephone. But even there you can't reach anyone ahead of time. A passerby happened to know the owner, contacted him and sent me the information. With a group of 4 people we stood in front of it and waited. My corner room was fine, the others' rooms were a bit small. Everything is very modern.The breakfast, however, was very poor. There was the usual coffee machine, but it was right next to the boss's desk, which was very strange. There was no bread of any kind. There were cornflakes and a chocolate crunch muesli. No oatmeal or regular, sugar-free muesli. And lots of white rolls and baked croissants. Healthy eating has not yet been addressed. There was also no fruit available. There were pepper strips and tomato mozzarella. Three types of cold cuts and cheese each. The boiled eggs were cold. Scrambled or fried eggs were freshly prepared. If the bread basket was empty, you had to ask. And that for 15 €.

Disaster.Our group had registered to stay overnight with bicycles. The garage was full of chairs and parasols, so only some of our bikes could be stored there.Two of the five rooms had not been cleaned and prepared. After the complaint, two new rooms were allocated. Everything was beautifully renovated and newly furnished. However, there hasn't been any dusting for a while and the floors haven't been vacuumed or mopped sporadically.A cleaning bucket with dirty water and a rag was only removed from the stairwell after being asked to do so.At breakfast, rolls and cold cuts were only added upon request.Fruit and quark were missing. Eggs were cold.There was no milk with the cereal.Gluten intolerance (which was stated when making the reservation) was not taken into account.The restaurant had been closed the evening before. Unfortunately, there is no information for the guests here either.The opened laptop next to the coffee machine (sporadic workstation) showed all bookings on the screen with prices. Data protection - none.We had booked an overnight stay and wouldn't have stayed longer.Unfortunately, no price reduction is possible (due to the inconvenience).Conclusion: absolutely no structure or organization recognizable.The hotel is not recommended.

Location right in the city center in the pub district…. Nice modern rooms. Staff very nice. Unfortunately, the service and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. Coffee machines in the rooms are a good idea - but they should be descaled. There was still fruit and milk from the previous person in the minibar, which was not thrown away when asked at reception. The room wasn't cleaned at all in one day and no towels were changed. There is no notice that you have to put the towels on the floor and hang the sign on the door to clean the rooms. The coffee making equipment and the minibar were not restocked. The glasses and cups were not cleaned or replaced after 3 days of stay. There was also no cleaning in the stairwell - there was a cigarette butt in the entrance area for 3 days. A more thorough cleaning of the rooms would be recommended, the skirting boards had not been cleaned for a long time, there were freshly dried water stains on the shower fittings, the floor in the room had probably not been mopped for a long time as the socks quickly got dirty. The few parking spaces at the hotel are usually always full. Price-performance ratio is not right here - we cannot recommend the hotel.

Had a 3 day stay.Unfortunately, service was disastrous. In my opinion, the two “bosses” did not have a correct demeanor. Too loose. Cigarette to ear. Doesn't work for me at all!The room wasn't cleaned at all once. There was a special sign hanging out, please clean it. Unfortunately this was not taken into account. Breakfast was extremely minimal and not fresh either!Sausage was probably 3 days old. Tarnished. No more bread available. Nothing was refilled. Really, really, really sad. For me, this hotel will definitely not be an option for my next stay. Price/performance catastrophe!

For personal reasons we stayed at the city hotel.The journey and proximity to the city and the train station are good.What we noticed when we arrived was that the area around the hotel was very untidy. Pallets, garbage cans and party tents don't look particularly inviting at the main entrance.The reception is located directly in the restaurant, which leaves little privacy. Unfortunately, when we checked in we only received a key card for the double room, which made it much more difficult to get home separately, as after 10 p.m. someone from the room always had to let the second person in at the entrance downstairs.Second drawback, the power supply doesn't work without a key card. So our devices wouldn't charge while we were away.We also see room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. The soap at the sink was missing and wasn't replenished every three days. At the end of the trip the toilet paper was empty. Unfortunately, the windows haven't been cleaned for a while.One day the room wasn't cleaned at all and we didn't get any new towels. The coffee machine in the room is a nice idea, but it should also be de-cold.For breakfast... The selection was very basic and limited. The sausage on the first day was tarnished and no longer fresh, the eggs were cold and cooked for far too long, juice was partially empty, on the last day the rolls were only baked when asked, which took 10 minutes.There was hardly any vegan selection. There was little choice of fruit. The apples were bruised. On the last day the table was not wiped or set.We weren't impressed with the service either. There was no introduction to the rooms, no brief exchange in the morning or evening. We didn't even get a drink at the bar with 15 minutes to go.That's not business-like.If the rooms and beds weren't so modern and comfortable, we would probably have only given one star.The next time we visit Bocholt we will definitely check into a different hotel.

Beautiful (new) hotel.Nice clean room, not very big but fine.Large modern bathroom with lovely walk-in shower, mirror spanning the entire width of the wall above the sink, so ideal.You can walk straight into the center.6 private parking spaces but are not cordoned off so on Saturday it was full of local cars, which was not convenient.Elevator from parking lot to the hotel, ideal!!!!Reception is in the restaurant, which is not very clear.

Beautiful hotel, clean rooms, super friendly people, good breakfast and a nice bar to have a drink. Close to the city so shopping, eating and bars close to the hotel. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back! Recommended!
