We were here for dinner in the evening. The food was very tasty, the pasta was homemade and the portions were okay.However, in our opinion it was not justified for this price. Around €30 for a pasta dish was rather expensive.We were very disappointed with the dessert. Paying €15 for one or two scoops of ice cream and some liqueur... plus the selection wasn't exactly big, or rather monotonous.Still a nice, traditional restaurant in Rheine with a pleasant atmosphere.

Stayed here for one night. Very cozy place. I liked it very much, style itself and really personalized service. Also took a dinner here, was the best decision for the evening. Kitchen was seasonable and very testy with nice view in the garden. The only think I didn‘t understand, is why they don’t have Michelin recommendation now as they had at 2019

We had a very nice evening last night with excellent dishes and top service. Extremely friendly and hospitable despite the very spontaneous reservation.A reservation is strongly recommended as the restaurant only offers limited space.

A birthday was the reason for visiting the restaurant. The menu almost exclusively offers meat and fish dishes. There were only 2 vegetarian/vegan dishes to choose from. In my opinion, a bit too little for today's times. So we chose roast venison and chicken with noodles. A game meal consisting of 2 thin slices of roast venison, pasta that was drowned in the sauce surrounded by 3 small pieces of chicken breast, a tragedy... for me it is disproportionate to the price and performance. The dining room can be old-fashioned and cozy, but I would recommend an update to the kitchen in terms of the selection of dishes and the arrangement of the plates. Time shouldn't stop here. The high price is no guarantee of quality.

We got in the mood for our hike on the Hermannsweg at the Hotel “Zum alten Brunnen” and were really excited. The hotel has a special flair, beautiful and spacious rooms and a beautiful garden with lots of seating. If you value quality when it comes to food, we can also recommend the hotel's restaurant. The food was extremely good and the service was super accommodating. What we would particularly like to emphasize is the extremely friendly, approachable and welcoming nature of the owner, Mr. Fleischer, who puts his heart and soul there for his guests. You felt like you were at home!!

I cannot give this hotel a single star. We booked this hotel through a cycling tour provider for 1 night. Firstly I had dirty bedding, very old furniture and dingy. As you climbed the stairs you could already see thick cobwebs under the heater. Our bikes were parked in the inner courtyard and we didn't get to it again until the next day, as this hotel had no staff and the only employee could only be reached on cell phone and she didn't have a key to the garage. The restaurant was closed and so after more than 70 km of cycling we still had to walk 2 km to the next restaurant and back again.

Very customer-friendly hotel, the hotel was opened especially for me despite it being a rest day, family atmosphere, everyone has time for a chat, particularly worth mentioning is Mr. Fleischer (owner), who personally prepared breakfast for me, dog-friendly, made me feel very comfortable all around Felt welcomed, thank you very much for that, I would come back at any time :)
