We were warmly welcomed and also said goodbye.The room was clean, it could just be a little more modern and maybe there were power sockets on the bed. Breakfast was OK! OK for one night.

Second of two trips here in last two years. Came back to support small local business but was a mistake. Little has changed. Surly and not accommodating to guests needs. Unwilling to hold bags before check in. Pushing you to check out early. Beer and food good, not very welcoming and unfriendly.

We stayed at the Goldener Hirsch for two nights.This "hotel" doesn't deserve its name:- The rooms are old with furniture from the 70s, the mattresses are completely worn out. There are open electrical cables in the room. There is mold in the bathroom both on the wall and in the bathtub.- Swallows were breeding in front of the entrance and their droppings were lying in the middle of the entrance area.- Breakfast consisted of old, bone-dry rolls, thin coffee from a thermos, cappuccino, etc. were not available. One type of cheese that was already bad and two types of sausage are neither sufficient nor appropriate. The scrambled eggs were completely dry.- The staff was not interested in ensuring that the guests had a pleasant stay: no greeting, no farewell. Even rudimentary rules of decency could not be found.I can only advise against this “hotel”. The companies only care about attracting overnight guests with as little effort as possible.We didn't go to the inn ourselves, but the menu speaks volumes: If there is pizza and chicken nuggets in a Franconian restaurant, then you can assume that the food is not freshly cooked there.

The hotel has the standards of the late 70s and is functionally absolutely fine for me as a business traveler. The breakfast included with the overnight stay wasHowever, it was more of an imposition: baked rolls from the day before that pulverized when they were cut open (although there are excellent bakers next door and in this region anyway), the other ingredients consisted of Metro jam plastic jars that you could tear open and there wasn't even any milk in the muesli. All in all, just a frustrating start to the day. Of course it's super difficult for hotels during the pandemic, but breakfast could certainly have been a little more pleasant and savings also have their limits. The Goldener Hirschen restaurant has a very good reputation! It's a shame and unfortunately a different overnight stay with breakfast next time.

Unfortunately we can only advise against this hotel.The rooms are very simple, the bathroom is extremely unhygienic and the food is borderline poor. What bothered me most, however, was the unfriendly service. The statement that we as hotel guests generate too little revenue and therefore don't have to be treated nicely is simply an outrage. When I asked the waitress about it, she swore at me and insulted me in the most primitive way. I have never seen such behavior before. Actually this hotel should deserve zero stars.I don't normally write reviews but this hotel definitely "deserves" one.

First impression: a restaurant with very old furnishings...The guests at the regulars' table looked at us because we weren't from the city... but at the end of our visit there was also a racist comment ("If we want something better, we should go to Turkey!").The service: seemed very stressed and unfriendly, even though the restaurant was relatively uncrowded...She was really annoyed that we went there to eat... at least that's how we felt!The food: the dishes and glasses had greasy fingerprints.The schnitzel peeled itself from the breading, and the sauce is not worth mentioning because it came out of the bag...So overall we thought the store was completely overpriced and we felt very unwelcome!Definitely not recommended!!!
