I loved this little hotel in the centre of Hof, perfectly located for the purpose of my trip. It reminded me of German hotels I stayed in back in the 1980s: immaculately clean, solid decor, a weighty key ring, a breakfast spread second to none, hand-written receipts and a more than competitive price. Danke, Frau Weinhold, ich komme zurück.

The Hotel deutsches Haus is a small hotel in the middle of the city, a stone's throw from the old town. We were in room 19, so I can only write a review about this.First the positive. The operator is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious and the price of 90 euros (breakfast included) is very affordable. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned in terms of the rooms, but if you like that, that's definitely a positive. The balcony was really nice, you could go out on the balcony and enjoy the evening in warm weather. The room was nice and big and had enough space.Now a few things I didn't like. At 5 Mbit, the WiFi is just at the limit if you want to surf. There is no shower curtain, so you either have to shower while sitting or lying down, which bothered me the most. There is also no shower gel (or two tiny sachets) and you have to lather yourself with curd soap, which is no longer up to date. The facility could use a new coat of paint and missing parts such as a drawer would need to be replaced. The rooms are very noisy, which can make it difficult to sleep if there are noisy neighbors.The bottom line is that it is a nice, small, cheap and well-located hotel with a few weaknesses. In my opinion, 3/5 stars is a fair rating.

Very nice owner, good and generous breakfast. Despite the older furnishings, the hotel is very clean and well-maintained.The only drawback that could be mentioned is the noise from motorcycles, which the owners can't do anything about.Highly recommended. If I need a hotel in Hof again, I will book here again.Very suitable and recommended for motorcyclists!Bikers are welcome 👍

I stayed there on a business trip.I can say that this hotel was the worst hotel in my life.The furnishings in the room are guaranteed to be over 50 years old and broken.Unfortunately it was also very dirty and it is noticeable that nothing is invested here anymore, neither money nor effort.The older owners are clearly overwhelmed by the management.
