We stayed again for 1 night, clean rooms, comfortable mattresses, 70s flair, and hi u da maybewould need some renovation but we liked it, of course it's not for everyone.Breakfast was plentiful.Will stay there again

Cool place and above all clean. Of course, you can always complain about something if you want, even with 5 star hotels. This guesthouse is too good for snobs and wannabes, so go to a 5 star hotel and joke around. In any case, my two-night stay was fine. When I come back to Bad Staffelstein, I will book with Adolphs Pension again.

So. Was there a few days. Boss and everyone involved very nice. Room + bed very clean. Breakfast OK, coffee very good. Special requests on a small scale for breakfast were fulfilled.Cats were very sweet.But.My room was late 70s/80s style. There is a small floor lamp on each side of the double bed, I had to repair the shade on my side, and a floor lamp that can also be switched on on the bed.Actually there would have been a lamp at the 'work table', but unfortunately there was no bulb in it. I complained immediately after moving in, unfortunately it wasn't possible to screw one in for over 4 days. To be fair, I have to mention a severe storm last night that kept the entire district busy, but *1 pear!*!!!WiFi was there. Unfortunately, very cautiously. TV probably fed via WiFi, lots of pixel errors and crashes. Streaming via laptop as an alternative is not effective.Lots of hanging slats, half-torn fly screens, my shower bracket was loose, a renovation backlog probably since 1990.Drinks are self-catering, the refrigerator in the kitchen can be used.Unfortunately the price is not in the same range.*edit*I just read a review by Uwe Brand from 3 weeks ago. The cotton swab in the closet in room 13 is still there. And they're not pads, they're wet wipes. But everything is still unused. 😊...but discovered that the bulb was missing even back then, so 1 star was subsequently deducted. That's what's planned then. 🤬

Practical but good and inexpensive guesthouse for cyclists and hikers, right on the Main cycle path. Breakfast was sufficient and good, unbeatable for the price. Slept very peacefully. It was well attended, worth recommending!

Very friendly staff.Price/performance is completely ok.The property is very old.You should remember that this is not a hotel, but a guesthouse with a good breakfast menu.If you need an overnight stay it's OK there, I wouldn't go on holiday there.

We took a risk and booked there despite the many bad reviews. We didn't expect anything. We got even less. When we arrived shortly before 2 p.m. there was no one in sight. A notice with a phone number was posted on the door. Two calls were busy. On the third call there was a brief dial tone and then pushed away. Even ringing the bell was unsuccessful. Luckily, at 1:59 p.m. we were able to cancel in time and free of charge. The look into the dining room didn't bode well for anything. A cat ran across the benches.

I had booked the guesthouse for one night (from August 12th, 2023 to August 13th, 2023) because I went to a concert in Coburg with my best friend. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. Small guesthouse with nice, cozy rooms. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was super tasty and very good and is included in the price. We had a very nice time throughout our stay. I would always book a trip there again because everything is great and right. Always happy 😊😋

Small, cozy guesthouse not far from Bad Staffelstein.Starting point for many excursions, whether on foot or by bike, for example. The Banz Monastery, the Fourteen Saints or the Staffelberg are easy to reach and worth seeing.We went to the thermal baths by car, which was very nice.Anyone who loves nature and is interested in a lot of things will find a lot of interesting things in Bad Staffelstein and the surrounding area.The boss and everyone else are friendly and we had a good chat.

Something positive first: the owner/innkeeper was quite friendly and also quite attentive at breakfast. We can't share the negative reviews regarding the breakfast, it was completely fine.Everything else can be found in detail in the previous reviews. Each room offers a different surprise, be it mold problems, flush buttons on the toilet that fall off or showers that don't work. Certainly not much was expected for the price, but that borders on refusing to work. Payment was only possible in cash.The biggest negative point was that the name of the pension seems to say it all. There were some more or less subtle clues in the accommodation, such as the WiFi password or asking the arriving guest to knock on the brown door, which was actually gold in color. A rogue who thinks evil!
