Service is very important here! I stayed at the Gasthof zum Waldstein for one night. The lady who worked both in the restaurant and at the reception and apparently worked for all the guests was really incredibly friendly, warm and committed!Despite the fact that she had to take care of everything during the meal, she responded to every request and worked very quickly while not forgetting to be hospitable! I could mention many more details here that made you feel really well looked after there. It's very rare to see such warmth and passion these days.The room I had was very tidy and clean and I felt completely comfortable. The only thing I have to complain about was that I had the feeling that the mattress was very slanted. I don't know if she was just so heavily inlaid or if she wasn't lying on the bed properly, but that's something that really stood out to me.Nevertheless, I can absolutely recommend the Gasthof zum Waldstein without any reservations and I would like to thank you very much for the pleasant night I was able to spend there!

We spent a weekend here with an overnight stay and were super satisfied.Our dog was allowed into the room and even into the guest room.The burgers made with meat from our own production are large and super tasty.The location is also a great starting point for hikes, for example to Waldstein or Saalequelle.

Super clean and tidy. New design meets rustic old and well preserved.Unfortunately there is the street below our room, which makes it a little difficult to fall asleep, but we woke up early 😬Breakfast delicious, rich and pleasing to the eye. Coffee machine makes very hot coffee (burnt tongue), very unusual but great 👌💕Hotel highly recommended.

We were there for lunch. We ordered the food. Our grandson doesn't eat sauerkraut and asked for red cabbage. Unfortunately, you later read the small print that said that if you “changed your order” you would be charged 2 euros. Which was actually on the bill. Only the other 3 of us had red cabbage with our dishes. The food was good so far.Our daughter-in-law was sick and couldn't go with us. That's why our son only ordered 2 dumplings with roulade sauce and red cabbage for her. The very nice waitress took the containers away before our meal. Then we had to hear that red cabbage was out. When we wanted to leave after dessert, 1 dumpling still had to be made. The young lady was incredibly embarrassed and apologized several times. Our son, who has actually been there several times, said that he no longer visits the restaurant.

If I could give 10 ⭐ stars for service, friendliness, location and, above all, the excellent food, I would do so.One of the best restaurants with excellent cuisine that I know in the Fichtelgebirge 👌🏼😋.Great variety of dishes and dishes, excellent Galloway steaks from our own breeding.If possible, special requests beyond the normal menu will be fully fulfilled 👍🏼😉.This time at the steak evening I had a 1000 gr. roast beef 👌🏼😋, which was excellently prepared and tasted delicious.

Were there with the family for the weekend (17 people in total). Everyone was super nice and friendly, the rooms were clean and bright and beautifully and modernly furnished. You really feel comfortable and welcome. The food is super tasty and always at the table very quickly, especially given the quantity. The breakfast was lovely and, in my opinion, rich. I can highly recommend the inn.

Very nice inn with great accommodation, the food is very tasty and the Zoigl beer on tap tastes great, the service is excellent, there is also a wallbox for the car shop, you can go hiking and do other activities in the area, we really enjoyed it liked it
