Immaculate, small, cozy hotel at a good price. Great location: 1 block from train station and 1 block from Karlstor gateway to old town. Room was very nice. Wi-Fi was fine. Breakfast discount provided for small takeout place next store, but plenty of other breakfast options in the neighborhood if preferred. Plenty of dinner dining options within a 2 block radius. Convenient access to REWE grocery store around other side of the block. While hotel is located on commercial street, it is worth noting that windows were high quality and it was very quiet in the room. Also there was room darkening aluminum shade on outside of window that opened/closed with a button and made it so dark and quiet in the room, I ended up really sleeping in. It was GREAT !! I would stay here again.

This was my first stop in Germany and thank goodness for it. Traveling solo with a toddler. Before I even arrived, the front desk was really helpful, receiving amazon supplies for me and my child's arrival. The lobby is small, just a desk, but the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, really going above and beyond. The room was immaculately clean, quiet, and dark when you needed it. The TV was huge, the lighting was nice, and the free mini bar was a nice touch. The bed was really comfortable, although i can't get used to dual mattress situation, always ending up in the 'crack' at night. There is also an elevator which was great for our stroller (do not assume all European hotels have one). The hotel is very central to the train station and popular sights (marienplatz), however the street outside isn't that great, so you'll walk a little ways (10-20mins) to find nicer restaurants or streets. And the AC worked great during the heatwave, a welcome reprieve! I would highly recommend DKM if you're looking for somewhere in the area.

Excellent, comfortable, well-appointed, and modern room. Staff at reception were extremely friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The hotel is excellently located between the main train station and the old town. Many interesting attractions and a variety of eateries were within easy walking distance.

Well located hotel in Munich, about 15 minutes from the historic center. The hotel is very new, and the rooms, although a little small, are very cozy and modern. The correct reception staff. The only thing I highlight as bad is the breakfast. It is not given directly in the hotel, but in a place located right next door, but the variety and quality is bad for the price they charge. I think that a hotel like this should take care of this detail because it can penalize you a lot.

Really, I'm sorry since my arrival in Germany it was the first time I had to deal with dishonest people. I make a room reservation online and 15 minutes later I go to the place and we realize that I have the wrong Date. I put the date 28th instead of 29th. OK no worries I'm already there can I get a room since I've already paid and the gentleman tells me there are no more rooms available. In less than 30 minutes I canceled to find another hotel. Imagine that Design-und kunsthotel München never refunded my money. I called them many times but nothing. Really disappointing, I ended up giving up.

We were really impressed with both the hotel room and the additional optional breakfast.The hotel is great value for money, with large and modern rooms. The different art in each room is such a cool way to stand out from the crowd and gave it a really chic look.The room was clean and tidy and the beds comfortable, there is a complimentary mini bar and coffee machine at no extra cost. You can even get little snacks each day if you elect to not have your room cleaned (by putting the little provided linen bag on your door handle).The bathroom was very warm and the shower had great heat and pressure.The only con really was the street noise, but there is automatic window shutters alongside the thick windows to help block it out, so we had no issues with that.The complimentary breakfast was in the cafe just next door and was really fantastic and worth the cost, Rahele greeted us as we entered and asked what hot drink we would like before showing us to a seat. We even had eggs made to our preference fresh from the kitchen.The coffee we ordered was delicious also, a bit of a rarity in Europe.Location is fantastic nice and close to the train station, and only a 20 minute walk to the city centre. Highly recommended!

I stayed here for 3 days out of a total of 5 days in Germany. (There weren't many Korean reviews) This was a hotel I booked after considering many things, so I'll write down the pros and cons for those who plan to book in the future.merit1. Really good location: optimal location, 5 minutes walk from Munich Central Station and 3 minutes walk from KarlsPlatz. Convenient transportation and close to DM. There are many stores across the street that are open until late at night, so it's a good place to satisfy your hunger (KFC, Pizza Hut, kebab restaurant, Vietnamese restaurant)2. The accommodation is clean and spacious: It feels like staying in a newly decorated house, and the accommodation is very clean and nice. It was nice that there was enough space to unfold the suitcase.3. Good heating: Heating is important when traveling in winter, and among the accommodations I stayed in, the heating was very good (it was hot at night).disadvantage1. Road noise: Since the hotel is located right next to the road, it is vulnerable to road noise. I can hear the tram well. (The tram runs until dawn, so if you are sensitive to such sounds, be sure to think about it when making a reservation! However, the windows are good at soundproofing, so they block out a lot of loud sounds.)2. Dust on the bedding: There is a lot of dust on the bedding. I thought it might be a little difficult for people with sensitive bronchial tubes.After using it, I realized that the pros far outweigh the cons :) I had a good trip and stayed at a good hotel.

Everything is chic. Relatively new, fresh, bright and clean rooms with bathroom and shower. Rich breakfast in the neighboring bistro. Very modern furnishings. About 5 minutes walk to the main train station. Ideal. Soundproof windows ensure peace and quiet. Gladly again.

Modern rooms in a good location. No annoying contact with employees because there is a machine at the entrance.Unfortunately very loud because it is right on the street. Impossible to sleep with the window open. Tolerable with closed windows and ear plugsPrice/performance is okay
