The room is incredibly central. Everywhere except the BMW museum is within walking distance. 1 minute walking distance to 2 main squares. The breakfast is very good, the wifi signal is good but the speed is a little slow. The heaters are working very well, we even turned them down. On the negative side, we couldn't see a mini fridge, the furniture is old, the elevator is small and the pillows are extremely soft and uncomfortable. If you expect brand hotels with fancy receptions, it will not meet your expectations, but if you expect clean and large rooms in a central location abroad, look no further.

Stayed at this hotel with some family members while we’re on vacation in Munich. We were amazed by how close this hotel was to the Marienplatz and in turn the subway system. The rooms in the hotel were very cozy and the breakfast offered in the morning was both filling a delicious. Service as well was excellent. A nice accommodation on the final days of our Alpine vacation.

The central location is the biggest plus. The rooms are functional and clean. There is enough space even in the single room.My room was clean, the towels were changed daily and that's a good thing since you shower more often in the summer heat.I was here last year and obviously the fittings in the showers were replaced. I think it's very good.I'll be back next year 👍

This hotel actually deserves 5 stars! The rooms are functional, the staff are very friendly and the location is sensational! The breakfast is perfect and leaves nothing to be desired. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back! Thank you for everything....

A very pleasant stay in this well-run hotel. Frdl reception and farewell. We stayed in the so-called garden house in the inner courtyard. Very quiet. Quaint atmosphere. Something different. Clean, functional room. Was fine with us.Optimal location, less than 100mtrs to the Vitalienmarkt. Marienplatz around the corner.Breakfast good. Everything included.Good location to explore the city.We would book this hotel again.

First the positive things about this hotel. The location is central and very good. The rooms are very small but serve their purpose. But that's where it stops. The door to the corridors is so thin that you can actually hear every little noise from outside. The same thing the other way around, of course. At 8:00 in the morning the cleaning staff are already walking through the hallways and all you can hear is that the cleaning staff in question have already tried to come into our room at 8:30 to clean up. I don't think that's possible at all. The drinks machine in the lobby was completely empty and the building in general was not nice. Price/performance isn't right here, but it's difficult in Munich anyway.

Very well-run hotel in close proximity to the Viktualienmarkt. Rooms are small and functional. Everything very clean. The breakfast was varied and more than sufficient. Ideal for a weekend. Marienplatz (U and S-Bahn) can be reached quickly on foot.

We spent five wonderful nights at the Hotel am Viktualienmarkt.The location can't be beat with easy connections to public transit with a tram stop around the corner and the Marienplatz station a few minutes walk away.You're close enough to Viktulienmarkt and Marienplatz to enjoy them easily, but avoid the noise and traffic. Truly a gem, in the heart of Munich's historic center and easy walking distance to many sights.Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are simple, yet comfortable. A great value.Breakfast is solid and a great way to start the day.I can't wait to go back to Munich, as this will be my new hotel of choice when visiting the city.
