We had booked the “5 day experience Franconian Switzerland” package. The room was spacious, well-equipped and pleasantly quiet. The service was very friendly, competent and always gave the impression that we were welcome. The breakfast buffet and dinner were good, the 3-course menu in the evening was extremely tasty, although if you come to the table feeling a bit hungry, you should choose the meat rather than the fish version from the menu. This is a little hint to the kitchen. But otherwise we were completely satisfied and really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely hotel in a quiet and rural location. Particularly noteworthy is the great service, as well as the good cuisine. Ideal for corporate events, with beautiful, large meeting rooms and well-equipped equipment. We'd love to come back!

Nice double room with enough space for one person.The bathroom was OK, the bathtub with shower holder was a bad design because the floor of the bathroom was wet after showering (3rd floor) because the shower enclosure is too small. The sink fittings were too close to the edge of the sink, meaning after washing your hands everything around the outside was wet.The service was just great! Always very, very friendly people who were always helpful. Special praise goes to the “boss” in the catering area: It couldn’t be better! Thank you!Another small negative point were the chairs in the small meeting room (chapel?), there is still a lot of room for improvement.All in all, I would love to come back! Thank you!

We had the pleasure of spending a 5-day short vacation at the Stempferhof. We were a little early, our luggage was temporarily stored by a very friendly receptionist. So we still had time to look around Gößweinstein. After moving into our very clean and cozy room on the 3rd floor, there is a lift, we went to the restaurant. We were greeted at the entrance and shown to our table. The current menu surprised us with a starter, 4 main courses and dessert. Everything was of very high quality, for me of course a Franconian Zwickl beer. After this delight, we spent our first peaceful night on first-class mattresses. Breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. presented in the form of a buffet that left nothing to be desired. Everything you could imagine for breakfast was there and was constantly being added to, amazing.We have never felt so comfortable and looked after as during these 5 days at the Stempferhof. Particularly noteworthy is the service manager, Ms. Keßler, who I was able to unsettle with questions, no matter how stupid. All in all, I would like to give more stars than are possible here. We will never forget this stay and have already booked for 2025.

I am always amazed by the fantastic service at the Stempferhof. Super friendly, professional staff, both in the restaurant and at the reception.The rooms are beautifully renovated, with everything you need to feel comfortable. I am particularly happy about the Nespresso coffee machine in the room.The food is a pleasure every time. A big compliment to the chef.I can fully recommend this house with a top price-performance ratio.

Hotel for upscale demands on the edge of Gößweinstein. The hotel's location near many hiking trails provides a good base from which to explore the area. We had booked a room in the lowest category with half board through ReisenAktuell. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The room we booked on the ground floor was not for people with claustrophobia. For an additional charge, we moved into a spacious, friendly room on the upper floor with a beautiful view. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service; the trainees were also friendlyaccommodating. A small downside was that the invoice for the upgrade, drinks and tourist tax was only sent to us by email after a reminder. Of course we paid by card on the day of departure. All in all it was a nice stay.

What a stroke of luck this hotel is! When I booked, I was impressed by the commitment and warmth of the staff, who aren't afraid to go the extra mile. Everything on site is very inviting and friendly, the rooms are immaculate, the sauna area is equipped with everything you need. We were also very impressed with the evening half board, but we were really blown away by the extensive and damn tasty breakfast buffet!It was a successful stay from start to finish and we would love to come back!

We went to Franconian Switzerland for a 4-day cycling holiday. The hotel in Gößweinstein was a nice starting point for the day tours, even if this area of Franconian Switzerland is challenging even for e-bikes. Partly steep forest paths or single trails.The hotel was ideally located and absolutely met our expectations. We had half board in the hotel, breakfast and dinner were great, service was very attentive.Really recommended.

Excellent address in Franconian Switzerland. It's nice that there is such a great hotel with every comfort. I was extremely impressed with the staff. Starting with the young, handsome man at the reception, to the restaurant manager, Mr. Schmidt, to the waiter in the morning, whose pretty smile made you start the day on a positive note. I have never experienced such a genuinely friendly and warm staff before. The room was large and very clean. The food in the restaurant was a pleasure. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but on the edge of the forest and offers great peace and quiet.I can only praise Horel highly and am glad that there is such a great address in Franconian Switzerland.

Booked a candle light dinner - of course you expected it to look a bit romantic or at least beautifully set at the table, but it was just a normal table among the other guests and didn't meet expectations at all. It's a shame for the money!Since, according to your research, we were apparently never there and the answer from you is very unfriendly, here it is again:We went to the candle light dinner in the evening on May 25th at 5:30 p.m.I didn't want to mention it, but we weren't feeling too well after dinner.

We went to Stempferhof for breakfast and were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner.There was a great selection at the buffet, everything was clean and nicely presented and very tasty.The staff were all very friendly and we felt so comfortable that we would definitely come back and would be happy to recommend the restaurant/hotel.

Beautiful hotel room in a beautiful location with a south-facing balcony, excellent service, extremely friendly but unobtrusive people, especially the head of service - it's rare to find something so pronounced. Excellent dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast coffee from the pot is recommended, machine coffee tastes rather bland. Bathroom design with room for improvement (no towel rail for shower towels, shower drain channel facing the room - overflows and floods everything in front of the shower. But still: ambience, service and restaurant would be happy again.

Great service. Friendly staff. Very good meals. Unfortunately, we found that the price of the room was not in good proportion to the size and comfort of the room. Hardly any freedom of movement, uncomfortable bed. A price correction would be desirable here.

The two of us were guests at the Stempferhof from May 4th, 2024 to May 6th, 2024 and had also booked the culinary delights. The staff was super nice and attentive and the food and breakfast both days were fantastic! Highly recommended.

I was there with a small hiking group and we had 2 wonderful days in and around Gössweinstein.The hotel catered to all of our wishes. A very caring staff looked after us and we were also spoiled with culinary delights. The quiet location made the stay very relaxing. Thanks to the entire Stempferhof team. We would love to come back. 😃
