A fantastic hotel, lovingly furnished, very attractive wellness area, great location in Rantum, on the main road, but not annoying, close to the beach. I'm in love with Rantum.

This is our first time at the Hotel Duene. Communication in advance was quick and very accommodating. The room is very spacious including a small kitchenette. The shower is simply wonderful after a long day at the beach. Breakfast is a highlight! Only the steep stairs to the room are difficult. But there is no star deduction for this, because these are structural peculiarities that you often encounter on the island. Excellent hosts who can only be recommended! Thanks for this relaxing vacation!!!

We stayed at the Hotel Duene for the first time with our dog. In the low season, the hotel has attractive offers for traveling with dogs, so the bottom line for us was very good value for money. We had a room in the main building Duene. This and some other rooms have their own entrance at the back, which is particularly pleasant with a dog. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor of the room, and a relatively steep staircase leads to the first floor, where the main room and bathroom are located. An even steeper staircase leads to the 2nd floor, where there is another, smaller bed and storage space in the loft. Our room was furnished to a high standard and everything was in good condition. The room has a coffee and tea station that was replenished every day. The initial stocking of the minibar was included in the room price. Also available: a large wardrobe with a safe and a radio. The bathroom had underfloor heating. The floor area of the bathroom was relatively large, but due to the sloping roof the space was only okay. The shower was very large. Sufficient water pressure available. The room cleaning was okay, but could be more thorough. The swimming and sauna area is fine for a hotel of this size. However, it doesn't invite you to linger (in the basement, only two loungers in the passage area, 4 more seating options). The pool water was relatively cold, the sauna and steam bath were pleasant to use for two people, anything beyond that would be too narrow for my liking. It was fine for us, we didn't choose the hotel with that focus.Breakfast is available for hotel guests in the Coast restaurant. The service from the ladies was extremely personable and friendly. Food that requires cooling (sausage, cheese, fish) and egg dishes are served. An example of how to avoid food waste. However, it only works if you ask the guest beforehand what they want and don't just put the standard selection on the table. From the second day onwards, the friendly staff noticed our preferences. Suggestion for improvement: A menu with the breakfast standards served and a board with weekly or daily specials would optimize the process and clarify some questions in advance.Overall we were very satisfied and will definitely come back.
