Super centrally located in Westerland. Nice apartments and rooms too. Service, employees and management are all very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast is great and leaves nothing to be desired. Have stayed at the Hotel Dünenburg several times.When Sylt/Westerland. Hotel Dünenburg is our first address. We can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Beautiful hotel in a brilliant location. Parking spaces directly at the house and the beach promenade just around the corner. Very friendly and courteous staff. Great breakfast. I'd love to come back

Disappointing – Not worth 4 starsUnfortunately, my stay at the hotel was a disappointment. There was a large scaffolding in front of the hotel, which not only spoiled the view but also the entire atmosphere. The noise from the construction work was almost unbearable during the day.The room was dated, the furniture was worn, and it felt less than inviting. I would have expected more for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was also far below standard - there was little choice and the quality left a lot to be desired.In addition, the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, which reinforced the overall negative impression. Given the high prices, the hotel was definitely overpriced and the price-performance ratio was not good at all.Unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel.

I reserved my room here, but got an upgrade and an apartment with a balcony, bathroom and kitchen. Really nice, the breakfast is completely sufficient. Small room, nice ambience. The location is great, the cleanliness is great and the friendliness too. You can't say anything negative. Really a successful visit. Always my pleasure.

Everything but not a 4-star hotelFirst we waited forever at the unmanned reception until an employee came with the comment “I was standing there on the corner and didn’t see her,” while another guest waited so long that he gave up. On the occasion of my grandmother's 82nd birthday, which is why we were there, the hotel was unable to decorate a table. There was nothing except a candle. “If they bring us something, we can put it on the table.” Yes, thank you, we can do that ourselves. It is also not possible to reserve a table for breakfast so that we can decorate it in advance. So the reason why we came to Sylt simply disappears. The fake friendliness of the reception staff and the simply non-existent orientation towards the guest really leaves me speechless. The rooms are also underground. Stains on the armchairs, scratches on the desk, two sad plastic chairs on the balcony with a view of the parking lot opposite. In summary: a disaster. Next time we would like to go somewhere where we are valued as guests and where our money is better invested.

A relatively small but very cozy hotel. The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly and helpful. What is particularly noteworthy is the breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired.

Probably the best breakfast on Sylt. Very committed, nice staff. Perfectly located. A few minutes to the beach. 10 minutes (walking distance) from the train station.

Nice hotel in the center of Westerland. Close to the beach. Nice rooms, comfortably furnished, small bathroom, but perfectly adequate. The breakfast is excellent, nothing was missing. The staff is very courteous and very helpful. What I have to mention somewhat critically is the parking spaces. I find €15 per day, now even €20, a bit unreasonable given the hotel prices. We are used to something different from other hotels in Westerland.

My regular hotel for years. Best location. One minute to Friedrichstrasse, 4 minutes to the promenade or beach. But still a quiet location. A great breakfast to start the day. Everything your heart desires. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well furnished and really clean.It's not for nothing that I come at least twice a year and have certainly done so for 12 years.

The location is great. In the middle of Westerland only about 10 minutes from the train station and 5 minutes to the beach. The furnishings are not that modern but as an overnight stay the furnishings are perfectly fine. Accordingly, the price of the hotel is in the middle range, at least in the off-season.

The hotel is close to the beach. Parking spaces are in front of the house. Our hotel room had a balcony. The room was sufficient, but not very large. The TV wasn't well placed or the seating didn't fit. …

Very nice hotel with a great location. I particularly like the friendliness and warmth at reception and at breakfast.We had a very nice double room with a nice bathroom.

Three points for the room because it was a bit small. But very clean.Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The rolls were great. 5 minutes walk to the beach and 1 minute to the pedestrian zone. The staff was very friendly. Cleanliness throughout the hotel.

All in all a good hotel with good value for money. Unfortunately, we had to stand in the vestibule in front of the locked glass door for several minutes, as access to the hotel can only be opened with a key or from the inside by the receptionist. The salvation with fully packed bags and suitcases came when a guest opened the door for us, otherwise we would have stood in the cooled vestibule for 10 minutes. The receptionist was also unable to briefly interrupt her call to open the door for us. That was an absolute NO GO. An electronic unlocking of the door would be a partial solution if the reception is also occupied, which is rare. The rooms can be occupied from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival, but unfortunately it is never possible or not earlier. It is not even checked whether the room is ready 30 minutes beforehand. A general reference is made to 2 p.m. We'd love to come back, we'll experience the same dilemma as it was the last time.

All in all, I'm satisfied, but... the coffee in the small pots is nice to look at, but gets cold extremely quickly, and coffee variations such as cappuccino etc. were also not available. A fully automatic machine in the breakfast room would be helpful here. The breakfast buffet was rich and was always topped up. The rooms are functional, but the shampoo in the small bottles is absolutely not sustainable and there is a lot of waste. The location is great, close to the beach and pedestrian zones.Unfortunately, the carpet laying in the hallways is absolutely unprofessional and should urgently be repaired by a specialist company, it is not at a 4-star level.And the service staff should please knock before entering the guest rooms.
