I was there with my class and it was great! The food was very tasty, the staff was nice, the room was good, the lights looked good at night, I recommend it!

I was at the youth hostel with a few friends for a “get relaxed” weekend. Both the program and the food were excellent, and the staff were super nice and helpful. The rooms were individually and comfortably furnished; We would have been very happy to have our own bathroom, but the sanitary rooms were sufficiently large and clean. The only thing we missed was hygiene trash cans/bags. The location of the youth hostel between dunes and directly on the beach is simply wonderful.

Was there on a school trip this year. The food was sometimes good and sometimes really bad. The table hockey was broken and so was the pool table. At the beginning we were told that cleanliness was very important there. As soon as we get into the room, we find a half-full carton of iced tea and chewing gum stuck everywhere. You can do it, but you definitely don't have to.

Lovingly furnished hostel with super friendly hostel management. The highlight is the proximity to the dfb mini artificial turf pitch and the view of the golf course and the lighthouse. The food is varied, delicious and the kitchen team always conjures up an individual solution for food intolerances.

Very lovingly furnished DJH. The salad bar is great, as are the rooms. However, the vegan selection can definitely be expanded, for example with vegetable additions (also delicious for non-vegans). Otherwise beautiful surroundings and close to the beach with a maximum of 10 minutes on foot.

A cheap alternative to an expensive hotel or holiday apartment holiday. Admittedly, the youth hostel feels a bit like a hospital, at least the hallways. The rooms are functionally furnished, I found the mattresses in the bed good enough to sleep in for a week. Cleanliness was okay. What takes some getting used to is that there is no trash can in the room and there is only a small bag in the bathroom that is attached to the wall with a clip. Even though there are garbage containers outside in the large hallway, I found that a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, it is still worth taking a vacation there even if you are not a teenager. The location is great, you are in close proximity to the beach, bus stop also nearby. The hostel managers are very friendly. All the staff is nice. Breakfast and dinner are always plentiful, replenished quickly, and no one has to starve. The food is equivalent to a 3* hotel. The different types of salad for dinner are particularly great. Once a week is Veggie Day, when only vegetarian food is served. The dining rooms are divided in such a way that individual travelers and small groups are in a separate room and the students are also among themselves. You can quickly get to know new people here and no one is alone. As a solo traveler you can book a bed in a shared room or just a twin room for yourself. WiFi is free for 4 hours, after which it costs 1 euro. But the reception of both the telephone network and the internet connection in the room (at least where I was) was really bad; I had to go into the entrance area to make a phone call. I felt very comfortable and I think it's good that you don't have to spend a fortune to find decent accommodation on Sylt. For me it was worth it, it was a nice holiday, which was also helped by the youth hostel and the nice people I met there.

Great youth hostel, delicious food and very nice, uncomplicated staff.Unfortunately, a few people... and they weren't young people, turned night into day and loudly and drunkenly disturbed the night's rest. This spoiled the stay somewhat. Unfortunately !! I will no longer book the youth hostel during the Sylt run.

I liked it, but there were things that bothered me: the bed mattresses were too hard, sleeping comfortably wasn't possible. WiFi only works at the main door, my room was room 0.3 and I had no WiFi, only one side gets WiFi.
