We stayed there one night last week during a motorcycle weekend and had a good time!The people were super nice, the interaction was very relaxed and uncomplicated, which made the atmosphere really pleasant. We were allowed to simply place our tent between the barrels, it worked smoothly - it was a unique and cozy location! The operator also drove us to the next restaurant, which made the evening even easier and less stressful. The breakfast was simple but well organized, there was everything you needed even without much advance notice. We can only recommend this place!

Very nice and adventurous accommodation, with many options. Landlord very nice and helpful. Barbecue and campfire options on site. Sanitary facilities clean and usable. "Kitchen" simple and functional. Breakfast small but nice. If you're looking for something unusual, you'll find it there. Rustic atmosphere for cyclists, hikers, etc. Not for 5* junkies!

Successful family event at the Fassmotel🔝Very friendly and caring service from the host. The complex offers everything your heart desires to offer families with children a carefree nature experience. The sanitary facilities are in very good condition and generously furnished.The breakfast was completely fine, again with a personal approach. We all felt very comfortable and would love to come back👍

Mike is a very great host. He cares about the well-being of his guests. The barrels have been beautifully converted. A campfire invites you to spend great summer evenings. Attractions such as the Ederthal Dam are also not far away. If we happen to be in the area again we will definitely be found in one of the barrels again.

It was perfect for a few nights. I like camping but I don't have all the tent stuff, the barrel motel is a perfect alternative, better because you have a dry bed!

The barrels are small but nice. Personally, the mattress was too thin for me.The barrel motel is right on the main street, which is okay since there isn't that much traffic. The toilets and showers were clean.There is also a small counter area with drinks and a coffee machine.You can get to the Edersee or the dam very quickly by bike.All in all a nice “motel” where you can stay for 1-2 nights.

Our booking was made via WhatsApp and therefore without anything in writing. We settled the bill verbally and with a handshake. The pictures on the homepage are only partially suitable for getting an impression of the facility. This is how our romantic barrel stood, on a trailer between two barrels. The complex is located right on the main street and at the entrance to the town, so you sleep right on the street. The front of our accommodation had a lot of glass and due to the height on the trailer the interior was illuminated by every car driving into town. The night was more about resting than sleeping. Unfortunately, there is no mention on the homepage that €15 for cleaning is added to the price. What annoys me all the more when there is a used plaster and a smoked cigarette in the barrel, clearly visible on the bench. The parking lot described was also unusable, too small for the facility and so we parked half on the side path and half in the field. Mike is, as often described, nice, which is why he gets 2 stars for service.

Wow. I surprised my wife with it and we were both positively surprised. the facilities are great. the rooms are great and fully furnished. And the landlord is great. Friendly, courteous and honest.We recommend it to everyone.

I wanted to surprise my partner with a spontaneous romantic vacation and after a lot of research I found the Fassmotel. After a quick call, I was very happy to find something on the Edersee that wasn't fully booked in the summer and was still within my budget. The owner is super friendly and very relaxed when dealing with his guests. Breakfast was very relaxed and when we all sat down together under a pavilion in the rain, we had a lot of nice conversations with other guests. The only star deduction is for the romance barrel. Which is not very romantic due to a broken lock on the door and a lack of decoration and is located directly on the street.Still a wonderful and unforgettable experience!!

Very nicely furnished and cozy little barrels. The owner very friendly and helpful. Breakfast also very good. You can only get to the lake from the location by bike or car. But that wasn't a problem for us. Parking is possible free of charge

Really cool idea. The romantic barrel is small, the bed is 1.40m, but if you don't have any problems with the narrowness, it's fine.The location to Ederssee & Co is great, but the barrels are right on a country road.The place is nicely designed with a fireplace and grill, but the kitchen is not really clean and there is only one shower for the women, so you have to wait a while...

The slightly different hotel. We stayed there for one night while passing through. We felt very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, everything was clean and the breakfast was great.
