Camping Tauber-Idyll is highly recommended! The location is perfect – Rothenburg ob der Tauber is within walking distance, making it ideal for visiting this beautiful, historic city. The campsite itself is quietly and attractively located on the river, with spacious, well-maintained pitches. The facilities are clean and modern, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The green landscape and the proximity of walking and cycling routes make it a wonderful place to relax. Truly a top location for camping enthusiasts who love nature and culture!

Beautiful, cozy owner-run campsite within walking distance of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber.We were able to spend the last night open there before the winter break. Totally nice operators with whom you could have a chat. The place is clear, beautifully laid out with clean sanitary facilities.Rothenburg can be reached in 20 minutes on foot, up the hill.A nice walk on which the way back, after a day in Rothenburg, is logically easyThe name says it all, Tauber-IDYLL :-)We will come back

Great little campsite under very nice management. Sanitary facilities have been newly renovated and are always very clean. Absolutely quiet location and a 20 minute walk from Rothenburg ob der Tauber.Price/performance definitely fits.

Under new management for a few years.The new management has the space well under control, always friendly and nice, the sanitary facilities are renovated and always clean - the users are responsible for everything else. Reservations also work perfectly, and late arrivals are also possible with electronic check-in. Small items, drinks and fresh rolls are available in the shop. We'd love to come back.

Are there with the motorhome, clean space, nice plots, sanitary facilities tidy, washing up facilities, washing machine etc. available. It takes 20 - 30 minutes to walk to Rothenburg, which is correspondingly faster by bike, very beautiful old town

What a hidden gem, we just came from a 5* campsite in Austria, but we like this campsite so much more than any other campsite.The pitches are not large, but we fit in fine, the sanitary facilities are not luxurious but clean and functional.The town of Rothenburg is easily accessible on foot from the campsite, but the most beautiful thing was the silence at night when only the sound of owls and the church bell could be heard!We will definitely come back for a week!

Small, very well-kept, lovingly designed place, clean sanitary facilities, nice operators. Sweet little place, fantastically beautiful area, about 25 minutes walk to the medieval, romantic town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We were passing through here, actually only wanted to stay one night, but spontaneously extended it for another night because it was so nice. Really highly recommended 👍

Pleasant campsite for a few nights. Sites are fine with paved surfaces on the sites for the camper/caravan. Showering costs €0.50. Access to the toilet and shower is via an access code that you receive from the manager. Everything is neat and clean.

Small, shabby place. Located somewhat hidden. Medical facilities very clean. The bread roll service is also very pleasant, as there isn't really any shopping in the town itself. The two owners were very helpful and friendly. Conclusion: A place without bling but perfect if you like small, cute and close to nature.

It's idyllic, beautifully located and quiet! But the journey is not easy, especially for long vehicles, and the reception opening hours are unusual and short! Since there are no parking spaces on the access road, you should be sure to get a space, otherwise you won't be able to pass the barrier and have to back up through the narrow access road. Since the campsite is small, it is not surprising that the disposal station blocks the exit for some places. Also noteworthy are that there are only 2 shower cubicles for men and women, which is not enough for 50 places. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The operators are rarely on site, so there are numerous signs and instructions telling the camper how to behave.After making a reservation online, you should definitely check your email on the day of arrival, otherwise you won't know the code to open the barrier.

A beautifully located campsite within easy reach of the historic city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The site is set up in such a way that access is possible even when the reception is not occupied (as long as a valid booking is made in good time). The sanitary facilities are functional and clean. The owners who look after the place themselves are friendly and helpful; Thanks. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

Stay April 2019Annoying, arrogant and choleric behavior on the part of the operator. The reaction to constructive advice is extremely irascible. Unprofessional! And instead of thinking about such behavior towards guests, they are now trying once again to have all negative reviews removed. Leaves childish revenge reviews (documented). Not open to criticism, not recommended.Note on the operator's comment from March 31, 2024:The allegations regarding my alleged behavior have no basis. The operator's choleric behavior, which I criticized, can also be seen in othersRead reviews. None of my reviews have ever been deleted by Google, contrary to what they claim. I find it remarkable that someone whose character is not suitable for dealing with people ruins your vacation and then portrays himself as a victim.The owner's statement constitutes the criminal offense of defamation. If the comment is not removed promptly, I will instruct my lawyer to represent my interests.P.S: By the way, thank you for the reminder about the eggs. In fact, two eggs smashed into our caravan in the night and fog. Who does something like that in the otherwise lovely Tauber Valley?

Excellent campsite, small scale. Atmosphere is good, clean sanitary facilities. Perfectly located near Rothenburg but still very quiet. Nice owners, happy to make time for a chat.
