Rooms were clean. The corridors are connected and nested with stairs to the individual floors. There are always small areas where you can linger. Breakfast very good selection and the service was nice and helpful.Parking spaces in front of the hotel are public.There is a private gravel parking lot 300m from the hotel. However, not many vehicles can be parked there. Only after consultation with reception.

Nice hotel that is getting old. I had booked the hotel for three nights. From the entrance to the room the hotel needs renovations.The bed is old and the bedding is well past its prime. I also had to remove several hairs. The bathroom also has no vent but a heater that works very poorly.The breakfast is ok, except for the fact that the lady had spread some chemicals during breakfast, which smelled accordingly. So breakfast was over quickly.Overall, the hotel stay was ok, but I would never come here again.

Delicious food, rustic atmosphere, unfortunately there is a bit too much hecticness in the service... No wonder, the tables are reassigned after 90 minutes at the latest. It's also a shame that you're seated at a table with strangers without being asked. Relatively narrow.

We booked the hotel for 3 nights. As soon as you entered you could tell that it was getting old. However, they had already tried to make it nice.There is a construction site on the ground floor.The room was functionally furnished. Unfortunately there was only one seat in the double room.The bathroom had no window and no ventilation. The fabric cover of the bed was totally worn and frayed on one side.The towel heater in the bathroom didn't work. The bathroom took forever to dry after a warm shower and the towels were still clammy the next day. Of course, it's inevitable that mold stains have already formed in the shower.We weren't particularly enthusiastic about the bathroom door with a glass pane.The breakfast was sufficient. But even there, there is still room for improvement in the way it is served. Less is more.On the whole, the hotel seemed clean.The staff was very nice and helpful.

The beds are wonderful, the staff super friendly, the hostess very open and enthusiastic. And the breakfast is too much to mention. The place located next to the hotel contains several dining options and an ice cream parlor. Nice shops with gemstones. Definitely recommended.

Super clean rooms, I was very surprised at how clean the toilets were, everything was great and the breakfast buffet was varied.And the best thing for us bikers is that the bikes are safely stored. We parked them in the garage and it was great.And the church was really unique. Unfortunately we only saw it from the outside but that was enough as it was built in a rock.

We were spontaneously in Idar-Oberstein and the hotel was recommended to us!I have to say, I was very satisfied, the owners are really friendly and nice, they take care of everything, the rooms are newly renovated and clean and nice and big! The breakfast is rich and, above all, the house is very child-friendlyWe were completely satisfied and we will definitely come back!Thanks again for everythingVLG 😘

👍 Location, directly below the rock church. Staff very friendly. Daily, thorough cleaning. Kettle, water + instant coffee in the room.👎 Room (9) extremely warm. Pillow way too hard. Sink area way too narrow. Shower very narrow + only cold water. Mirror cabinet way too high. Bathroom door doesn't close. Furniture arranged incorrectly so kettle is on the floor when in use. A socket + light switch very loose. Breakfast: buns rubbery. Bread in supermarket packaging. No pliers to grab. Glue glass shelves. Nutella in large jars, portion packs would be more hygienic. Too much fruit and vegetables that are hardly eaten. Fresh cold cuts and cheese platter, including slices. Cereal boxes should be labeled. Advertising: Sparkling wine + salmon for breakfast on Sundays. There wasn't. Hotel pictures of the breakfast correspond 0 to reality. Criticism when checking out was not taken seriously.

No disappointment at all, as you can unfortunately read in some of the insulting reviews here.The hotel is undoubtedly getting old in some places, but every effort is made to ensure cleanliness, friendliness and smoothness.Our rooms were clean and the bed linen was completely odorless.The interior exudes a rustic coziness, although access to the rooms currently appears to be undergoing minimal structural changes.That's why you shouldn't (yet) evaluate it (negatively).The lady at the reception is courteous and polite.The breakfast is rich and carefully prepared.Anyone who still wants to complain about some "individual cases/segments" is clearly sadly overlooking the consistency of many other areas, such as the preparation of individual Mediterranean salads and, above all, the efforts of the migrant employees present there, who can only be described as cordial can describe.

Check-in was quite late, but they put it in the key box, so entering the room was very smooth.The room is spacious and easy to use.The location is perfect, right below the bedrock church! You can enjoy the spectacular view.

We were excited to stay in downtown Idar Oberstein since previously we had stayed a bit out of town. Sadly, the experience was lacking and bordered on depressing. I want to be quick to say that some of this is not the property's fault. …
