Golchener Hof

We enjoy coming here and have been here several times. It's always so nice that my grandchildren don't want to leave or go back straight away. They can have fun, look after animals, ride horses, learn a lot and always make new friends quickly. It’s difficult to say goodbye 😉. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. The facilities are great. The food was great. Some bread and cold cuts at the children's buffet in the evening would be great. We have had a nice rest again. We were there during the fall break. My daughter is 7 years old and she had a great time and definitely wants to come back! The staff is so friendly, helpful and always has a smile on their faces. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the space was generous. There is also a very nice changing program for the children every day (if they like).The animals are friendly towards people and the horses are incredibly well-behaved.The atmosphere here, both between the children and the parents, was very pleasant.The breakfast buffet was very good!The evening buffet was very good for adults.The only wish: more choice at the children's buffet in the evening.Simply a wonderful and relaxing holiday. The farm is super beautiful, it offers children great opportunities to come into contact with animals and nature.What is really sad are the sometimes racist comments made by children and their parents.

This was our first time here and we felt really comfortable from the first second. There really wasn't anything that bothered us: the room was just really nice, clean, and big enough for the 3 of us and a small dog :); The food was also very varied and delicious - we were always looking forward to breakfast and dinner :) and the farm itself is great anyway! Our daughter was outside the whole time :) in short: parents and child went home very relaxed and completely refreshed! We'll definitely be back :) and until then, dear Golchener Hof team, keep it up!!

Last Saturday we were able to celebrate our dream wedding at the Golchener Hof and what can I say? It was just completely perfect and beautiful. From the first contact with Markus to view the location to the meal and the party, we simply felt comfortable... I can only recommend everyone to get married there. The wedding was emotional and funny at the same time - thanks to Markus' wonderful wedding speech. We would choose the Golchener Hof again and again and were able to spend one of the most beautiful days of our lives there!!

The time before the visit has already passed perfectly. The website is appealing and intuitive, the communication is courteous and friendly. Yesterday we even received a personally written postcard saying that the hosts are looking forward to our visit in May 2025.I think the impression will continue like this. I will report.

We stayed at the Golchener Hof for 3 days. We would have liked to stay for 5 days, but everything was fully booked because of a wedding celebration; Unfortunately, the hotel only has 24 rooms, but that's exactly why the atmosphere is so great, you're almost welcomed into a new family at short notice. The only address used here is on a first-name basis.Everyone from the reception to the waiters in the restaurant to the cleaning staff for the rooms are without exception friendly and helpful. Everything is lovingly prepared, whether the reception area, the rooms, the playground or the arrangement of the small animal enclosures. Everywhere you can discover small, well thought-out or beautifully decorated corners.The e-mail or WhatsApp support before the start of the vacation is simply great and increases the anticipation.I was afraid of having too high expectations, but the farm adventures were really a lot of fun; At the Farm Olympiad you got to know the people around you well and were able to make contacts wherever you wanted. While doing crafts together (the painted horseshoes were my highlight!), the children were able to increase their creativity by exchanging ideas and take a memory home with them. It wasn't just the children who had fun with children's dancing! Chugging around the farm with Willi and his single-axle vehicle was also a great event and we were also able to learn something at the farm school. We would have liked to have done the evening bread-making at the campfire with a cup of warm Kinerpunsch again, it put us in the right farm holiday mood.Our children have never been so quick to brush their teeth and get dressed in the morning. Just get out the door, look at the animals, go to the playground or take the first lap in the pedal car and we were able to wake up relaxed and get ready in peace.Since there is half board and therefore a buffet in the morning and evening, there was always only a small selection on the lunch menu; Nuggets + fries or rice pudding for the children and soups/stew for the parents. Everything is always lovingly prepared and delicious.The breakfast buffet was sufficient; something for everyone. The evening buffet had changing warm dishes and salads. There was always a small extra buffet for the children. Simply great!Our only downside was that we didn't sleep well; We kept waking up and tossing and turning, but I can't say why... we and the children always fell asleep quickly because of all the adventures and all the fresh country air!In the riding stables there are additional bookable experiences such as riding lessons or a foster pony etc. However, we found the whole thing to be too expensive to enjoy every day, and the lists can easily lead to confusion for laypeople. The written agreement via WhatsApp was not helpful.The riding lesson was fantastic for our 7 year old; She really learned a lot and had a lot of fun trotting and even cantering. A foster pony is probably more for smaller children or for beginners.Get away from everyday life, just switch off, let the children do their thing, but also experience great farm adventures together as a family... the Golchener Hof makes all of this possible!!!
