Aparthotel Adagio Heidelberg

Not that great. Room way too warm. Air conditioning broken. No other room available because booked through. Window to open exactly to the main station so no need to get an eyeful. Then we could have gotten another room but the air conditioning was also broken. The hotel was less than 3 months old.At breakfast you had to be lucky to get a seat. We're not picky but this wasn't right. Parking options are also very limited despite parking spaces in the underground car park.Mostly full and 24 euros per day if you could get one. Rooms themselves were very good. Service was also ok. Great beds and a very spacious bathroom. But the bottom line is that we don’t recommend it. It wasn't a nice weekend as far as the hotel was concerned.

Well, what can I say.Location is very central and the rooms are quiet when the windows are closed.At the time of our visit, the hotel has been open for 3 months and is also very modern.When we arrived in the room we were disappointed. There was a lot of hair in the bathroom, the toilet seat was speckled, the bed cover was stained and you could clearly see the sticky edges of a bottle/glass on two shelves in the light. The hob in the tea kitchen was partly full of crumbs. My girlfriend and I aren't very fussy about the principle, but then we found it a bit too much and went to the reception. There, understanding and shocked at the condition, we were immediately given a new room, which was significantly better, but not entirely perfect. When showering, the water temperature changed from ice cold to boiling hot every 5-10 seconds. Very uncomfortable. It was fine for one night. Up to this point I would have given it 4 stars.Although it was very cold outside in October, the room temperature was just under 26 degrees. You couldn't leave the windows open at night because there were several train tracks running right in front of the window and the air conditioning didn't really cool at all at the highest level. The fan was even louder. So we slept at around 23-24 degrees. A heater could not be found or turned off.After these rather unfortunate initial difficulties, we were looking forward to breakfast and were unfortunately disappointed again. The selection was quite large and the coffee (automatic machine) was very good. But the scrambled eggs and sausages that came with it were ice cold. The products were not stored in a warming dish but rather placed in a pot on the counter. Roll was 50/50, while one type was quite good, you could probably throw slices into the poppy seed roll, you couldn't put that much butter on it, as dry as it was. The boiled eggs were good, even cold but the unfortunate thing was the salt. There was a large salt and pepper shaker, but for all guests.All in all the service is great, it's like everywhere else. If you talk to people in a polite tone, they will help you a lot and will probably make almost anything possible. On the other hand, certain basic things just have to work, especially if the hotel has only been open for three months.The bottom line is that we wouldn't visit the hotel again. I think the three star rating is appropriate

Perfect location for tourists. The staff was first class, helpful and very friendly. Big compliment.The fact that there is no cleaning in a hotel takes some getting used to.

Super centrally located, i.e. not in the old town, but for a short walk to the train station and to more upscale residential areas with attractive restaurants. Everything was very new and clean, the apartment was very spacious in terms of floor space and the view of the train station was also nice (a matter of taste). All in all, very good value for money.

Even though we only got there around 4 p.m., our rooms weren't ready yet; Employees appeared incompetent and shouted at each other; Location to the old town is not ideal; Rooms and hotel were clean and modern; Bathroom is not good - shower for two minutes and the bathroom is flooded; uncomfortable pillows; Breakfast itself was good; Hardly any space for breakfast, a lot of food was no longer available or was not refilled; Tables were dirty and not cleaned between guests; Overall, it was clearly too expensive for the performance offered

Very nice quiet rooms.Breakfast ok outside of peak times.When we checked in we had to wait in line for 45 minutes.Parking spaces limited to 20€/day
