Very nice hotel in a beautiful location with private parking.In the center, so everything is close to restaurants, supermarkets, etc.Nice spacious rooms.Dogs are also welcome here.This is the third time we have been here and we will definitely come back next time.The bar all the way downstairs (where the sauna is) is also nice so that you can get a drink there 24/7 and then pay for it when you check out.

I don't really understand all the good reviews. Feel welcome? There was different staff every day. Were nice but in the evening when we needed someone there was no one there.The room was very warm so we had all the windows open. But then you wake up quickly because during the weekend there is noise from the pub opposite the hotel and during the week you hear the garbage truck and buses around half past six. So there was no real relaxation.When we reported it, no one was there. The next day they came to have a look and they had put the windows in the tilt position. The result was that the room had become even warmer.In our opinion the bed was on the hard side.In a love hotel I would expect that you can enjoy yourself in the hotel.Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and there was no bar to have a drink.There was also no mini bar in the room and no kettle, so if you wanted to drink something in the evening you had to leave the hotel.What was really good were:the location and the rain shower.Upon arrival we received the Sauerland SommerCard with which you could do many activities for free once. There are many fun activities here.

This was our second time here and we will definitely come back. The location is great. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the breakfast is really good too! More vegan options could be offered. Dinner at Astenblick was again a real treat! The food is fresh and, above all, completely homemade and seasonal!The only drawback was: The mattresses were clearly too soft for us --> There are now new mattresses!! Very comfortable, definitely full starsVegan alternatives were added at breakfast, also really good.

A very nice hotel in the middle of Winterberg. We had the double room Exclusive and it was an optimal size. The beds were a bit too soft for us but that's a matter of taste.Our room faced the car park and we didn't notice the noise from the pub. Friends who had the balcony directly onto the pub were already struggling. The type of breakfast served on a menu was a new experience, the quality is great and leaves nothing to be desired.We didn't have much contact with the staff but when we did, they were very friendly and accommodating.Another plus point is that the hotel is very dog-friendly.

I had two lovely days in this hotel! The staff is very friendly and also responds to guests' requests! I would have preferred to stay longer. I would definitely like to book there and it was quiet and could really relax! Please keep it up!

Very nice hotel. Great breakfast. Had a nice stay. The only thing we noticed during our private sauna visit for 2 hours was that the toilet and shower had not been cleaned beforehand, which wasn't nice. Plus the loungers were quite sagging and uncomfortable. The seats in the sauna were also unstable. Nails and screws are halfway out. No clean work there, which should definitely be repaired by a craftsman who is more interested in doing it ;) I hope it can be repaired by next time

An all-round successful stay in a great hotel. We received a very warm welcome and felt comfortable throughout.The breakfast can be put together according to your own wishes (simply great products, you can notice the quality of the food, for example in the coffee and the egg dishes). I've rarely had such a good breakfast. The employees are happy to fulfill your wishes.Our room was very nice and specially furnished, the bed was 5*, it was extremely comfortable and you could just feel good.We spent two hours to ourselves in the small but nice spa area, where everything was lovingly furnished and prepared.The hotel is very centrally located in the middle of Winterberg, the pedestrian zone is right around the corner and the lifts and the Rothaarsteig are also within walking distance.Thank you for three wonderful days!

The people are nice and helpful. The rooms comfy and clean. They offered a vegan breakfast option. Photos online were misleading though!! the suite was different from the photos and less luxury!! I understand that you either had a big room or a room with a bath? The pictures made me think you would get both. I recommend to go for the cheaper room. And I would have liked a kettle in the room to have a cup of tea in the evening. You could get tea downstairs but it was far away and you had to pay for each cup.

This place is very good located, free parking for the guests and friendly staff. Sometimes the communication is a bit of a challenge because not everybody speaks English (we are from Belgium) but you feel the effort.Rooms are clean and were very comfortable. The sauna was 2h included and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was a bit small for the price but the taste was good. Overall a romantic experience that I recommend
