Our hike from SGV Unna started here and ended with delicious cake and coffee after 11 km on great paths.

I've been able to host the board game weekend for my podcast "Brettspielgalaxie" here twice. There were over 30 of us who arrived on very different days and times, which posed no problem at all. We were all satisfied with the accommodation and the premises. The staff was friendly and we all enjoyed the food; a vegetarian alternative was always available. The quiet location meant the nights were relaxing, even if they were usually too short due to playing for too long 😄 I'm already looking forward to the next time.

This hostel is beautiful. Nice clean rooms with a great view and bathroom included. The employees are very nice and accommodating. The food is very tasty and fresh. The location is great with its own forest and football field and close to many good excursion destinations. There are many indoor lounges such as a games room and a TV room. There were a lot of nice families with children there for our children to play with. It was really perfect, thank you.

They are incredibly nice employees, of course in a YOUTH HOSTEL and not in a hotel!In this respect, I cannot understand the subversive assessments of my predecessors; The nature and manner of the sometimes lousy reviews suggest pubertal behavior and poor upbringing.If someone is too cowardly to openly express their problems, then they should also refrain from making assessments and wait until they have reached a certain level of maturity.. sorry

We stayed here for two nights with three children (11, 14, 16) and a large dog. All the employees were really very nice. We felt very comfortable and welcome.We were even able to spontaneously book dinner. On the first evening it was really great, no “packaged food”, on the second evening only the patties were freshly prepared. That was a shame. But what was great was that there was always a vegetarian alternative on both evenings, which we all really enjoyed. Everything was always provided with a lot of care and love.The equipment for spending free time with children was also great and sufficient: table tennis, air hockey, table football, books, games.The house has a great location, right next to the forest. Great excursion destinations are also easily accessible from there.Thank you!

Very nice rooms, delicious food, incredibly nice staff, all in all a really nice stay. We felt very comfortable with you.

In itself it is a nice location in a good location, very good parking options. However, despite the renovation, the rooms in the old building are nothing more than a very uncomfortable place to spend the night. The mattresses are very hard and covered with rubber under the bed sheet, which makes the nights, especially in summer or late spring, a rather sweaty and unrefreshing experience. In addition, the slatted frame made of perforated chipboard does not contribute to a rested night. Some of the bed linen provided still have stains from the previous one, rubbish is still in the beds when the covers are new, there is no soap for washing hands, toilet lids are barely screwed on, the bathrooms do not have sufficient ventilation. Furthermore, the taste of the food is absolutely inadequate, some of it is inedible and is definitely responsible for one or two diarrheas. By the way, you can't really call it varied. With a few very positive exceptions, the staff is incredibly unfriendly and disrespectful. Personally, I was housed here for a total of several months over two years as part of my vocational training and I can't speak about good interactions with trainees. Agreements were made that were not kept by the youth court, complaints and criticism were fundamentally rejected and denied. Collective punishments are threatened due to damage that cannot be traced to anyone being accommodated. As part of these collective punishments, minors who have no opportunity to independently look for other accommodation and sometimes have to travel up to 200 kilometers home are threatened with being thrown out the door. Meals were canceled for inexplicable reasons and at the same time others were postponed so much that you had to wait between 9-10 hours for the next one. The only thing that was kept was a desired meal within a very limited framework; in some cases a meal was prepared that no one in the accommodation had requested.Personally, I will advise my employer against accommodating trainees in the youth center in the near future and in general I would not recommend anyone to support such a company that treats young people in this way. I have been disappointed here more than once and treated beneath my dignity. It's hard for me to say a good word here and I feel sorry for the few people on the staff who really make an effort.Nevertheless, all the best, I sincerely hope that something changes.

Food is tasteless and the same every week. Rooms partly overcrowded (9 in a room for 6 people) Recently, instead of lunch, there are only little things like chocolate bars or pre-packaged cookies. These are not even enough for all guests. The beds are very uncomfortable because there is only a thin mattress which only lies on a chipboard with holes. The showers, some of which you have to share with 10 people, have a curtain that is already starting to get moldy at the bottom edge. Cleanliness is also not that good as there is still rubbish from the previous guest. This place is an imposition!!!!!!!!There are also often school classes there that are very loud and only run across the hallway in their underpants.Criticism that is expressed directly to the staff is initially not responded to. Think carefully about whether you want to sleep here!!

If you are staying there for a long time, it is very difficult to feel comfortable there, the food is usually intolerable, for breakfast and dinner there is cold cuts that were previously handled by elementary school students. The staff is sometimes nice, but they talk about it in a very condescending manner. It is rumored that if there are some bad reviews, the company where the accommodation is placed is informed and then complains to the boss, in my opinion, kindergarten (bad performance = bad rating)
