The (single) room was down-to-earth, simple, clean and sufficiently large with a bed, a wardrobe and a desk with TV (Astra satellite). The bathroom was actually rather large, but only had a small 80x80 shower (Germans just can't manage to build a bathroom); not completely new but clean. Even without A/C, the room was pleasantly cool when the outside temperature was over 30°C. Staff was extremely friendly. So it's ok to stay overnight. But if you expect something historically interesting and charming based on the name - probably not, everything was simply and functionally rebuilt at some point.Disliked · The location is very isolated. Not in a village, but on the country road between two villages, without any infrastructure next door (although there are two 11 kW charging stations from Ladegrün). No restaurant, no shop, no nothing within walking distance. The hotel's own restaurant is also closed on Mondays (great in a tourist area when the heather is in bloom; but other restaurants are also closed on Mondays during this time - so you can't do that with the tourism service in the heath). It is also surprising how much traffic there is on this country road even at night. So the room was quite noisy from the traffic (especially with the window open). It's nice that the hotel offers free Wi-Fi/internet; But if it has a measured bandwidth of 2.9 MBit, it becomes silly; no one can do anything with that. And because cell phone reception is also rather limited at this point, you are not only very isolated geographically but also digitally in this place.

Very nice hotel. Gladly again. Dinner was very tasty and breakfast was also sufficient and good. Unfortunately the internet or WiFi wasn't that good. But it's probably more because we're in the country. Otherwise nice hotel.

Wonderful accommodation to spend one or more nights in the beautiful heath. The rooms are clean and tidy and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and lovingly prepared. Rarely seen a better price-performance ratio.

Well located on the main road that runs through the town; always fresh, often regional products that are prepared into delicious dishes; attentive and super-nice service; We can't say anything about the rooms, as we only went to "Im Alten Bahnhof" to eat. We're always happy to come back!

This hotel is located about six kilometers outside of Bergen in the middle of nowhere. I had difficulty finding the hotel, the sat nav sent me somewhere else. I got the key easily with a phone call and ended up in a cozy room. I actually wanted to go into town for a bit, but there's nothing nearby, not even a shop. Drinks are also available in the hotel, so I made myself comfortable in the room and slept early and well. The next morning I was served breakfast for 9.50 euros. It was pretty decent except for the rolls. They were baked. The hotel was perfectly fine for one night.

On our bike trip from Stuttgart to Hamburg we booked a room here in the Old Train Station. The welcome was warm, but was immediately marred by a sign. The sign said that the restaurant in the Old Train Station was currently closed.However, the landlord had sympathy with us and conjured up an excellent pizza with a delicious salad for dinner on the table in the neighboring garden.It should be noted that we were the only guests that day and yet we were treated like royalty. First class.We would like to thank you again very warmly for the service.The next day, after a very good breakfast, we were able to continue our journey.Thanks.

We stopped there purely by chance.The young, very nice and extremely helpful service was very organized, very quick and discreetly attentive.The food was excellent. Fine dining at a good and fair price. We had 250g rump steak with fried potatoes, sauce and salad, as well as a venison schnitzel with salad. Both were excellent, the steak was fried medium-rare exactly as requested, the fried potatoes were freshly fried in the pan with bacon, onions and spring onions. Extremely delicious.The raw materials are from the region according to the menu and were all fresh and very good quality. Unfortunately you couldn't rate the restaurant in Trip Advisor.Unfortunately (for the restaurant) we were alone in the restaurant in the middle of the week.The restaurant itself is modern and new, but seemed a little too sober/cool to me. Still very good and a great stay.All the best recommendations for this very good restaurant.

A very nice country inn with beautiful, large, spacious rooms. It is clean and well maintained. The furnishings are optimally mixed between older and traditional charm. You can feel the age of the building but that's what gives it its character. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately you can't eat hot food here because there's no chef. If you are interested, please let us know, it is a shame that such a country inn is closed and can only rent out the rooms.

The hotel is a bit old BUT the rooms are super clean and comfortable, the bathroom is perfectly adequate. Breakfast was super delicious. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again at any timeThank you again

A simple restaurant with a special menu. There's a lot to choose from, from currywurst with fries to roast venison. Unfortunately, noodle lovers won't find anything, nor will turkey or chicken on the menu. The food is good and the service is very friendly! There are plenty of parking spaces!
