Wonderful weekend. Nice hosts, great food and a unique view. We slept wonderfully and for breakfast we had, among other things, homemade yogurt. We will definitely come back…

I still remember my previous climbs to this mountain.However, I wouldn't necessarily describe it as beginner-friendly.After 3 1/2 hours, my brother and I finally reached the hut, where we were immediately greeted with a smile by Daniel, the hut warden.This is how the evening went:We enjoyed delicious spaghetti Bolognese and had a fantastic view of the Bad Reichenhall valley.The friendliness of Daniel, who fulfilled almost every wish and even took us to the sunset at the summit cross, characterized the evening until the delicious breakfast, which consisted of bread, cheese and an extra portion of ham.The overnight stay only cost us125,-€, and so we made our way back to the valley with a smile, filled with the beautiful view and a warm farewell.Overall, we give 5 out of 5 stars for the hospitality and conviviality.We'll definitely be back!

ClassThe Hütten Wirt is unique and a real original. Everyone was greeted warmly and friendly, it was more like arriving to visit friends.When it comes to transport, I have a very fair stance against food and vinesThe view is great and if you want to experience the sunrise or sunset on the mountain, I can recommend the mattress camp.I think sure-footedness is necessary for the way to the hut / Hochstaufen, it goes up and down easily :D

Very cozy, rustic hut and the reward for a strenuous climb.Great view and delicious food too. The prices are absolutely humane and fair (e.g. wheat beer 0.5l, €5.50). Since everything is flown in by helicopter, I expected significantly higher costs and was pleasantly surprised.As is the case almost everywhere, the motto “cash is true” applies, no EC payment is possible.If you're fit enough, it's best to hike over the stone hunter to the hut, an absolute experience!

Is a beautiful place with a breathtaking view! The staff is very friendly and the prices are really fair, considering that everything has to be flown out by helicopter.This place is really recommended!

It's great... good food to strengthen you, something cold to drink... what more could you want. Cool young host and friendly, motivated team in the kitchen. If anyone complains about the prices, you shouldn't forget all the stuff that comes with a helicopter... it's paid per flight minute as far as I know. I'm happy to be back up there. That's it...super beautiful mountain with variety and great views

Hello, I was at the Reichenhaller Haus on Hochstaufen. I was there at around 9 a.m. and it actually didn't open until 10 a.m. Despite the fact that I was early, I got something to drink: lemonade. Kitchen is only open from 11 a.m. I was able to order goulash soup at around 10 a.m. and got it before 11 a.m. I think it's really friendly that you can get something and order before the actual opening hours. If you want to know why I was so early, because I didn't know when they opened and I left Piding at 5 a.m. The prices are a bit expensive but if you consider how the goods are brought up, I think the prices are okay. Unfortunately the view was very foggy but it was a great place. Without the fog the view would have been good, but that's just how the weather is. Very friendly people in the cottage. Nice ambience inside. There are still several pictures hanging on the wall from the history of the hut. Interesting to see. I'd love to come back.MFGStephen

Beautiful view, sensational sunset, delicious food and very good cake.Although all food has to be flown by helicopter or carried up, the prices are moderate.The climb is definitely worth it.

Steep prices (4.50 for a soda in a glass. 9 euros for a small soup with a slice of cheap mixed bread) Otherwise, great view and nice people.

The Staufenhaus has been open again since July 1st, 2024!There are sausages (Wiener and Käsekrainer), soups, coffee and cake 🍰 and of course something to refresh you 🍻. Overnight stays are also possible in the “mattress camp” or in a shared room. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises and a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Chiemsee, Salzburg, Berchtesgaden Alps, Pfarrstuhl, Reiter Alpe and much more. It's definitely worth it ☀️💫🌄🌅

Attention, the Reichenhaller Haus is closed.There will be no entertainment.Overnight stays are therefore not possible.We can only hope that a tenant will be found as quickly as possible.A hike is still worth it.
