A simple but so honest and friendly hotel. Went there for two nights by motorbike. Food is fantastic. Thanks to Peter. And Bettina's friendliness can't be surpassed.We would be happy to come back.

Great owner-managed hotel, warm and personal welcome. Very spacious room with a balcony and sensational views of nature. Idyllically located. Free parking directly in front of the house. Sauna in the house and beautiful garden behind it. Very good selection of Baden-Württemberg wines. And an excellent 3-course menu in the evening! Everything perfect. It couldn't be better! Very nice hotel, tastefully decorated. The welcome from Bettina and Piet is warm, with a lot of effort to speak to us in French (and translate the ingredients for us, like "majoran"!). The room was very spacious, quiet, pleasant. Breakfasts are as we like them in Germany: complete, lots of choice with local products, good. And the dinner prepared by Piet... Excellent!Thank you for your welcome and all the little touches...

The total warmth with which we were welcomed and treated throughout our stay, the absolutely delicious food, the location, view... everything was just great!!If we ever go on a short vacation in the area again, we will certainly not look any further!

We were warmly welcomed by Bettina and Peter. The hotel and the rooms are lovingly designed so that we felt comfortable right from the start. Everything was extremely neat and clean.A delicious 3-course menu is offered on five out of seven evenings, which we were happy to partake in. Our request for a vegetarian menu was also fulfilled without any problems. The food was very tasty and absolutely recommended.The breakfast is also excellent and offers everything your heart desires - from a large selection of cereals to homemade jam.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely return if we vacation in the area again.

We were guests at Haus Sommerberg for 2 nights at the end of October.Well-run small hotel, very friendly hosts and the view was unique because we had the room with a view of the valley.Breakfast was sufficient and there was something of everything.A 3-course menu was also offered almost every evening and was very tasty.

Bettina and Piet are very welcoming and very helpful to those who come to their home... Their advice is sound. Very beautiful, spacious room, both modern in equipment and traditional in atmosphere. Don't be fooled by the exterior architecture of the hotel which is not the most traditional: inside everything is tastefully decorated down to the details and you find yourself immersed in a real Schwarzwald atmosphere!! Facing the small ski slopes (better snow-covered than the traditional Feldberg nearby because it faces north). Possibility of having a Sauna session...we quickly made the decision to come back...

It was our first time at Haus Sommerberg, but definitely not the last time.The house is very tastefully decorated. A nice mix of modern and traditional elements. You feel comfortable everywhere.The buffet-style breakfast has everything you need and everything is fresh and high quality.The menus in the evening were always a delight. I would call this gourmet cooking. And the price-performance ratio is great given the high level.The hosts are absolutely lovely and warm.We can recommend Haus Sommerberg without reservation

The communication before the move was extremely reliable and meaningful. The spacious apartment is in a very neat, clean condition and well equipped. Concerns were answered promptly in a solution-oriented manner, e.g. storage space for valuable bicycles. Our two Frenchies were also very welcome and immediately felt at home. We wish Haus Gretel all the best and send warm greetings!!!!

We deliberately looked for a small hotel for our vacation in the Black Forest. During our research we came across the hotel “Am Sommerberg” in Altglashütten on the Internet. Our expectations were fully met. We booked a deluxe double room and got a beautifully furnished, very clean room that consists of two rooms with a balcony and a very large daylight bathroom with shower. All 10 rooms in this hotel are individually furnished and equipped with lovingly selected accessories. No “one size fits all” hotel room, but every room is different. Really really great! There is also a sauna. The operators of the hotel, Bettina and Peter Knöpfle, are very nice and take touching care of their guests. Whatever is possible is done to make the guest feel comfortable. If desired, there are hiking and excursion tips. The breakfast buffet is lovingly put together and leaves nothing to be desired. All dishes offered are fresh and regional. In the evenings, Peter Knöpfle doesn't miss the opportunity to cook for his hotel guests. Here too, attention is paid to regionality and sustainability and it tastes extremely delicious!!! We were totally thrilled and will definitely come back!
