So - in advance: from my point of view the hotel corresponds to a 3-star hotel. Rooms are small, buffet is good but manageable, the ladies in the kitchen and room service are very friendly. I would actually give the hotel 3-4 stars. However, there was a problem that was really annoying.I made the mistake of waterproofing my shoes for Rock in the Park in the courtyard. Of course it was stupid of me and after the rain there were clearly visible footprints on the tar in the yard. My mistake, no question about it and I'm fully responsible for it.But when we got to the hotel from the Rock im Park Festival sometime after 11 p.m., the doorman intercepted me and asked me to go to the reception. He explained to me that he saw me spraying my shoes on the surveillance cameras and now these stains are there. I was actually pretty exhausted after the third day of the festival and just wanted to go to bed. I immediately admitted that I waterproofed my shoes and didn't deny anything. He didn't respond to my request to watch and discuss it together the next morning (because he wouldn't be there). And I would now have to pay the cleaning fee of 200 (!) euros immediately. Unfortunately I did it so I could get to bed.The next morning I looked at it and had to look for the stain (when it was dry) in the yard. I immediately believe that you can see it more when it's wet. But I found a cleaning fee of 200 euros a bit much. Contrary to the porter's promise, I didn't receive the promised letter for my liability insurance in the morning either. We then left. When I get home I call again and want to get 100 euros back because 200 euros just seems too much for me. It goes back and forth (I'll leave out all the insinuations now, otherwise this will get longer) and of course he doesn't pay anything back. And now it comes and it's almost criminal: 20 minutes later I get an email from booking.com telling me that the hotel has canceled my arrival and that I would have virtually never been there - probably to prevent me from leaving a bad review leave behind. I've already contacted booking.com...Very, very sad and annoying how that went. Of course it was initially my mistake to spray the shoes in the yard, but the way the guests were treated is simply unbelievable.

The location requires urgent maintenance. For the charged rates, you expect quality services, but this is not the case here. To avoid.

Don't stay here! Worst hotel possible in the area. The service is miserabile and the staff very rude, including the so called owner.

The beds are small the blanket is tiny and I got sick because it didn't cover me, I am 183cm and the blanket didn’t fit me, they did room cleaning but the sheet didn’t change, and when I went to check in I stayed for 2h because the staff was a sleep, no drinking water or food rather than breakfast. Awful

I loved the kind lady at the restaurant. She was very receptive and willing to help despite the language barrier. Hotel is clean, Internet good, good rooms, beds, breakfast nice. Very accessible to the metro station.

I recently booked a stay at Hotel Gerhard for almost a week stay, and unfortunately, my boss had an extremely unpleasant experience that compelled me to share our concerns. Upon arrival, the staff at the hotel treated my boss rudely, showing a complete lack of hospitality and professionalism. Despite attempting to address the situation calmly, the response from the hotel employees was far from satisfactory. To make matters worse, my boss was forced to pay for alleged damages that, upon closer inspection, were baseless and unfounded. The hotel staff failed to provide any evidence to support their claim, and it became apparent that this was an attempt to extort money. What shocked us even more was the threat to call the police and evict my boss. Such actions are entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. No guest should feel threatened and unwelcome during their stay. We expected a level of customer service and respect that was sorely lacking at Hotel Gerhard. It's disheartening to see a business engage in such behaviour, and I feel compelled to warn others about our negative experience. We strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking at Hotel Gerhard, as there are surely better options in the area that prioritize customer satisfaction and ethical business practices.

Hotel just to sleep. The rooms are not too big, but they have everything you need. Unfortunately, the bathroom needed a bit of refreshing. The advantage is the location - literally opposite the metro station.Unfortunately, I subtract a star for parking. There are literally 5 parking spaces, and finding a free space on the street in the area is almost impossible. In addition, the breakfast was poor and the food was not supplemented on a regular basis.
