"You have to drive away at half past four to the specified address with overnight supplies for one night. And you have to take this box with you, but you are not allowed to look in it until you have arrived." That was it. That's all I had in terms of instructions. An address was on the heavily taped box.Half past three. My daughter and I got into the car. A taped box, overnight gear for one night, navigation on and a lot of questions. We made a game of it along the way. “What do you think it is?” Everything we could think of had been reviewed when we arrived, but we still had no idea.We were received by Lisanne. Dutch glory. She had one big smile. You could clearly see that she was proud of what she did. We? We still had no idea what we were going to do.We walked behind her and stopped at one point. We were standing on a site where we looked out over the fields, the harbour, a kind of steel warehouse, holiday homes, large boats. In short, the surroundings did not give us away what we were going to do.She pointed out the truck that was there. "You'll sleep in this tonight," she said. What an incredibly nice Father's Day gift this was!A night in a truck with my daughter. After instructions, we unpacked our box. Of course, it had meatballs in it. After all, what do you do in a truck if you don't have meatballs, right? What a wonderful experience. Strangely enough, it is all quite spacious despite being small. The area where the car is parked is so wonderfully quiet. You hear nothing. Well, we heard the stays of the ships tapping softly against the mast because it was quite windy. Lovely sound to sleep to. Rain on the roof. Even tastier. Oh how wonderfully we slept. "I sleep better here than on my own bed," said my daughter. The truck is really equipped with every luxury. Netflix, kettle, microwave, towels, soap, but above all a glorious view. We had a lovely walk, first along the water, through the harbor and later through the village itself. Coffee, fries, chain, chatting, terrace, Netflix, chippies, drink, brushing teeth and a great night's sleep. And then the extremely well prepared breakfast in the morning. All local products I think. More than enough for two people. Folding chairs (purchasing a folding table would be a tip here for breakfast) and lovely sunshine.11:00 am, check out and go home. Still a big smile. What an experience. Another wonderful experience together with my child. I described it when I got home as "I know it was only one night, but I feel like I've had a week's vacation."I know people like to read bad reviews, but you won't be able to do that here. Because I was and am 100% happy with this great mini-mini holiday. Highly recommended! And yes, of course it is a lot of money for one night. But this is an experience, an experience that my daughter still remembers when she is 75. “The night I slept in a truck with my father.” And let's face it, those kinds of memories are more than worth this amount of money, aren't they? Why do I give "only" 4 stars for the location? That's because I think there might be some people who might be annoyed by the bit of "industrial" in the distance 'next to' the truck. But honestly? If that bothers you, in my opinion you are not suitable for this kind of adventure. Because for me the location is simply worth * * * * * stars.
