We had booked a family room for 4 people here. We got a nice room for 4 people. But what was really ideal was that we actually got 1 room with 2 separate rooms where 2 people could sleep in each room. Really perfect to stay here as 2 parents and 2 children. This way we were together with the 4 of us, but still had our necessary privacy. Breakfast in the morning was okay. Nothing to complain about. It's a shame that such a beautiful room didn't have a bath. Top Hygiene, everything neat and clean.

What a nice and great hotel. It gives a homely feeling. It's not that big, no luxurious rooms, but it does have that feeling of peace that you need for your holiday, the staff is great but super friendly, breakfast was really extensive and delicious. Everything from breakfast was fresh and good. Here you really go for your peace and quiet. Definitely recommended for me. Rooms and beds were really clean, there is no restaurant, but you can bring your own food and use the options for heating it up. Nice living room feeling with the rest of the hotel guests. Really great fun.

We stayed here spontaneously for 2 nights. The small hotel is lovingly and comfortably furnished. Everything has been thought of and as a guest you are king and queen here. The staff is always very courteous and helpful. Everyone exudes the charm of the hotel and lives for it. The hotel has very good bicycles and eBikes available that can be easily rented. Furthermore, hot and cold drinks as well as snacks can be taken around the clock with a tally list. The breakfast is very good. From de Waal you can easily reach all parts of Texel by bike. We can highly recommend the hotel.

In the middle of Texel in the smallest village on the island. An ideal starting point for bicycles. The family suite without air conditioning has a somewhat small bathroom and no sink. These are in the two bedrooms.Otherwise nice small, romantic hotel with nice staff and good breakfast.

We thought Hotel de Waal was a wonderful place to relax during a weekend on Texel. The hotel is located in a very small, quiet village in the middle of the island. This means you can easily go in any direction by bike. Close to Den Burg for good food or shopping. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, extensive and fresh. Recommended!
