I have nothing to say about the location since it seemed pretty good to me.In general, the room that was for 10 people seemed very dirty to me. I stayed for 2 days and the bathroom remained in the same condition since I arrived. In addition to the dirt, there were papers and towels that did not belong to anyone and various objects that were left by guests who were leaving and that were later not picked up by anyone. ...dirty mirror, toothpaste stains, hair everywhere (maybe since when it was like this). The person who cleaned only came in to leave the bedding and nothing else. I warned about the situation but absolutely nothing changed.The bathroom leaked for a whole day so it couldn't be used.I think that the price and quality mentioned on the reservation page is not real and the truth is that I am surprised that it has such a good rating. I think it is very neglected and when it is shared in rooms for more than 1 person, the cleanliness given to the common spaces is very important.I don't recommend it at all.

I only give one star because the hostel is relatively centrally located. The reception and the hostel are separate and accessible via a different street. The rooms are not clean and there is no sink in the bathroom. The stairs are so narrow that you could easily fall down, which is life-threatening. I strongly advise against booking a room in this hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. They have a luggage room to store your luggage when you arrive earlier. A nice cozy lobby with free wifi to just chill there. Clean beds. Shower and toilet in the room. And very friendly staff who are willing to help you with anything.Only downside were the stairs.. however you will experience the real Amsterdam experience with this!Definitely recommend this budget-friendly hostel in the center of Amsterdam!

They charged 10 euros as deposit and the staff including manager were very rude to me. The worst thing was they do not have any lock system for the lockers.
I would rather suggest Dutchies Hostel instead where my friend stayed and we enjoyed there 2 times free coffee.

The entire 6 person dorm was rudely awoken at 5 am this morning by someone claiming to be hostel staff, after bursting through the door and flicking on the main light, he proceeded to ask us (repeatedly, and aggressively) for 10 extra euros each to “allow us to sleep in and delay the cleaning services” which was highly suspicious as check out is at 10:30.Once we all spoke up and basically forced him out of the room, I mentioned it to the man at reception who clearly had no affiliation with the intruder, but was reluctant to admit it due to what that would imply about our safety…Ignoring this, our stay was decent enough for the price. Although there was very little privacy in the rooms, and no common area to socialize with anyone outside of your dorm.Can’t recommend in good conscience until they can guarantee that random vagrants off the street won’t invade your private room at any hour and attempt to scam you. 2/5

No privacy at all. Had insufferable roommates. Staff friendly. Good location. Refused to upgrade us despite us offering to pay more. No way to charge your phone if you’re on top bunk. Toilet wall thin and offers no privacy.

Decent for the price. no privacy whatsoever, and the lack of plug-in outlets was a downside as I like to recharge my devices overnight. 10€ cash deposit, and after checkout you can leave your luggage for the day for 5€

Great location.Stayed in 8 bed dorm. It's a bed to stay in safe, kept clean, with a nice toilet and shower for the room. Not uptight and pretty reasonableCheers

A hostel which main upside is the location, and that’s where the upsides come to an end. The beds aren’t safe, as the upper bunkbed has no protection on the sides, not even going to mention the privacy part, as there are no curtains for any beds. The showers are old and very claustrophobic, there’s mold on the ceiling. The rooms were clean. You have to deposit 10 euros when checking in and if you want a lock for one of the lockers you also have to deposit 10 euros. The hostel is OK for a one night stay, as it was in my case. Friendly people and staff.

So this hotel is the hotel of the century. They think we're aliens. The room is small, but that's not a problem. The bed, on the other hand!! According to one of the employees, it's a standard bed!! She got angry when she told me! I don't know if the manager is of Asian origin as this lady informed me, but European feet, especially in countries like Holland, Germany and Belgium, have citizens with a minimum height of 180 cm! The standard size of an adult bed is generally 2m. It was a night of suffering. In addition, the cleaning was not done: there was dust on the floor and black spots on the floor which we started to clean with wet wipes. No towels, no soap! Nothing at all ! A scam !! I worked in several hotels between 3 and 4 stars and there was always at least the minimum. I have traveled to lots of youth hostels and there is always the minimum, and sometimes more, at often cheaper prices. I advise you not to take the rooms with two beds, it's filthy and dirty!In addition, there is no late check-in, like come on!! At least an hour!! It is not possible. Okay, I understand it's hotel policy, but unfortunately I won't be coming back again. The receptionist on Saturday 13th, on morning shift, should learn how to respond. In the hotels I worked at, receptionists were trained to respond to guests as friendly as possible, or at least to say "I'll pass on the message" and "I understand", even if it's disingenuous. . But there, nothing!! Anyway, I thought about it carefully before sending this message, but I tell myself that 126 euros for a night in a room with two beds, for elves, or on the top floor with tiny stairs, is exaggerated. I want to prevent other customers from being cheated. Guest feedback helps improve your hotel.NB: There is a poster in the room asking not to open the window. So, ask the cleaning service to wash the room well and close the windows. It is not up to customers, at 4:00 in the morning, to notice that the window is open and that there is security at the bottom of the window to close it. Please review your rooms and cleaning too.
