Went on a holiday for five days and it was amazing! It’s a very special place that feels like a world on its own. There’s people from everywhere that can connect in the shared kitchen or at the fireplace. I highly recommend this place for solo travellers who want to connect with others. The beds are comfy, the showers toasty and the toilets are interesting as well. In short: it’s a wonderful place.

Exactly what I needed to escape travels through the bigger cities. Very eco friendly and just friendly people! Nice fire at night to socialize and keep warm. Kitchen setup is very practical. All compost is neat, no messy or smells. Showers are amazing, warm and with a view! Stayed in the female dorm closest to a highway but it was no bother. I just pretended it was ocean waves and not cars. Plus if it rains, it’s drowned by them anyways. Lovely stay will be coming back.

Our stay was truly fantastic! The safari tent was very cozy, everything had been thought of. Dinner is also highly recommended. Shortly after arrival, the chef came to talk to us about the dinner, what we wanted and what we didn't want. With great care he prepared a delicious meal for us that was really better than expected. The breakfast was also prepared with great care and taken care of down to the last detail.

What a horrible experience. The noise from the highway was constant, and the tent was filthy, full of spiders and spiderwebs, as if it had never been cleaned. The toilets were just as dirty. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Also, don't pay for the breakfast, it's incredibly overpriced. There are other campsites nearby that offer a much better experience.

What a special experience. Sleeping in a Yurt with my granddaughter. A great, cheerful yurt. Full of details and colors. In an idyllic location near a stream and with 2 very nice seating areas outside. But there were also two lovely chairs inside the yurt. The bed was fine. The compost toilets took some getting used to. But there's a first time for everything. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic!!!So well cared for. And cheerfully decorated withEdible flowers. And also baked gluten-free rolls for me. Super and also very sweet. It was very diverse. With everything. And very spacious. The table was surprisingly attractively set. A big 10!!!

Booked a night through Booking.com and YES... there was a clear policy for cancellation (50% of the full amount is charged) and YES I read it and knew about it. However I was happy to see Booking provides an easy way to communicate and come to an agreement with the owner to wave the cancellation fee in some cases. I booked in the evening, turned ill overnight and had to cancel my trip to Groningen. I had the courtesy to inform the owner asap (within 12h) about the situation. However, this was no reason for the owner to accept a waver --> I had to pay full cancellation fee for my one person stay. I would have wanted to come back a few weeks later when I will be recovered to this place, because the concept seems nice. But after this experience I won't. Especially after reading the other comments here about the breakfast issue (again money based!), nearby noisy highway, bedbugs, fleas, rats, mosquito's,...My first bad experience via Booking in the past 10 years. Had to make a note of this. Sorry guys.

A strange experience where I ordered breakfast just for myself and they called me to check if I was gonna really eat it alone. Because, so they made clear, I could not share it with the person I was with. I said that wasn’t the case (the person didn’t want to eat in the morning) and asked if it was ok that person just drinks his coffee at my table. Nope, that was not allowed. Apparently everyone in one tent has to buy breakfast or you can’t have any? So I ended up not being able to eat breakfast. Very Dutch way of hospitality. And certainly not what you would expect at a ‘sharing is caring’ hippie place. The place itself looked nice. Location wasn’t so great cause close to a highway, so you always hear the cars rushing by, even at 2 am.
