We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Super friendly Dutch-speaking staff, also at check-in. Received an explanation about the facilities in the hotel. Very nice room, clean bedding and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was also really great. Lots of choice and everything was wonderfully fresh. We will definitely go back again.

We spent a long weekend in Volendam last weekend for a family weekend and had 4 rooms here in the hotel. It is a nice, nostalgic hotel in a beautiful location.The rooms vary quite a bit. Of the 4 rooms, 1 stood out in a very positive sense, but also 1 in a very negative sense. The latter was musty/damp and the enormous sewage smell from the bathroom made staying in that room very "unpleasant". We also reported this, but unfortunately there were no other rooms available!The service in the hotel is excellent, with the staff really standing out positively. All extremely correct and very common international catering employees with respect for the guests.The only downside is the parking at the hotel. Everything is arranged somewhat chaotically and we thought the costs were quite expensive. Nevertheless, we would go there again in a heartbeat!

The hotel is in an excellent position, practically on the sea in the beautiful and characteristic city of Volendam. Now comes the sore points, as soon as we arrive for check-in, they first ask us for €195 saying that we still had to pay, I show him the invoice but he insists, then it changes to €99, fortunately I manage to speak to a younger and less stubborn employee who makes him understand that he is making a mistake and we only pay €13.60 in tourist tax. Chapter rooms, spacious and fairly clean, I say lower because with the carpet you can hardly expect excellent cleanliness and the smell inside is not the best... to conclude we asked for a bottle of water before leaving and they told us that they didn't have any, I wonder how it is possible for a hotel with a restaurant inside not to have bottles of water...mystery....I don't know if I would go back.

The staff is by far the very worst in the world. We were accused of consuming cocaine in front of the hotel even though we ate a Turkish specialty called (Lokum) in which white powder contains sugar. Staff wanted to cancel our room.When we were hungry, we ordered sweets from the snack machine in the hotel and paid for them. Unfortunately, when they didn't come out, we contacted the staff and the answer was: "If nothing comes out, we have nothing to do with it." Customer is king is a foreign concept for this hotel!Rooms were ok, staff HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hotel is a disaster. Staff unfriendly, unprofessional, overwhelmed and should not work in the service. To name one of the many names - Sharon should urgently look for another job. The food is different every day, even though you order the same thing. The rooms do not correspond to the pictures. We had a room that was reminiscent of an interior cabin on a ship. No daylight and opening the windows is not possible because the air conditioning is running and distributing warm air. There is no way to hang up your luggage, you have to live out of your suitcase. Asian tour groups stay overnight, arrive like locusts in the evening and leave in the morning with an unbelievable noise (suitcases are not carried up the stairs, but are dragged down with a clatter).Cleaning of the rooms is finished halfway through. Towels are still exchanged, but no coffee is added. Paper cups for coffee and plastic cups in the bathroom, that's unbelievable given the price of the room.

Last Saturday, October 12, we arrived at the hotel, the lady behind the reception was friendly. However, she did not tell us anything about the features and there were no signs anywhere, so we only found out towards the end of our stay that there was also a swimming pool/wellness in the hotel. Too bad, but our own fault.However, there are still a number of points that annoyed our stay in the hotel so much that we want to write this negative review:A room in the hotel had been rented to an external company that was organizing a party there, which meant that dinner could not be ordered. We were not informed of this in advance. Even though we had booked by phone the night before.Also, there was no bar open in the hotel, the alternative was that you could get cans of drinks in the "shop", which was unmanned.The welcome drink, as indicated on the site, was also not offered, or it must have been the tap water in the hotel room. There are worse things in life, but don't advertise them.The advertisement also stated that game boards and puzzles would be available, but upon inquiry this turned out not to be the case. So then we had to go back to one of the bars where all the Jan Smit and Nick & Simon lookalikes went to the ladies' toilet 4 times an hour while sniffing.The party in the hotel lasted until well after midnight, and the singer, who would not have made it through the preliminary rounds of “Holland Got Talent for people with disabilities”, couldn't stop.The people who were cleaning up the room after the party made a lot of noise, chairs and tables had to be removed, they had to go through a door near our room. That door was slammed shut with a huge bang every time, and even though my girlfriend said she couldn't sleep because of the unnecessary noise, the gentlemen didn't care. They had a nice smoke and thought it was all fine.The TV in the hotel room was nice, but you couldn't see anything on it, there wasn't a single channel on and You Tube didn't respond either. You had to do something with QR codes, but that is not understandable for us elderly people. It would help if there was at least a clear description.Furthermore, it was cold in the room, the enormous device hanging on the wall was there for decoration it seemed, because no matter what you set on the cupboard, nothing happened, here too there was no description.All in all it was very disappointing

We had a promotion of the day deal, but it was actually out of stock, the chef said... well, it was noticeable, they didn't know we were coming and the atmosphere was hard to find... pancakes were well baked, but my husband had one with apple, they were still raw!!! He baked it again later, but why not immediately, I think!, I wouldn't recommend it

The balcony door couldn't be closed properly, the closet was minimalistic, the bathroom didn't have much storage space, coffee powder bags, milk powder and water were only filled up on the second day. For 176.00 euros per night I expect a little more...
