Clinkmama is a vibe! Everything was top-notch for a hostel living. Friendly staff, great location. Just one drawback, Mama provided torn and old bath bathrobes.

The room is ok, but far from deluxe as it is advertised and called. I was looking for a younger hotel for my son, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all.The room is shabby, there isn't even a chair to put clothes on.There is no heating in the bathroom, no temperature control on the shower and it turns off automatically. The common areas and the kitchen are nicely designed. For this price I have had much better accommodation in Amsterdam City.

Overall good vibe! The rooms and showers were the most disappointing though. There was no privacy curtain as was shown in the photos when I booked and the lockers were so small, they didn’t fit much. Showers were very tight so I couldn’t shave easily! I did like the private bathroom stalls but I was disappointed with the living space. The communal area was very comfortable and stylish. Staff were SO helpful and nice! Let me borrow an umbrella since it was raining constantly and the food and drinks at the cafe were good. The location wasn’t too bad, it was right by a bus stop but it was a bit further than I was hoping! Overall not bad as it was one of the cheaper hostels, I just wish they were more transparent about the rooms when I went to book.

Delicious bagels, good view, good facilities, the decoration of the room is a bit creepy, but everything is excellent:)

Nice hostel in a good location with friendly staff! The only things I found a bit annoying was that the water in the shower was cold and you have to keep pressing the button to turn it on. Not a big deal at all but was a bit inconvenient. The other thing was that they have a lock box for your stuff that you have to pay for online via QR in order to use. For some reason my American card wasn’t accepted (never had a problem with my card any other time while in Europe) so it didn’t work for me. Although since it was so close to my check in time they let me just check in earlier which was really nice of them. I just think the lockbox shouldn’t be such a pain to use, or they should just have a closet or free locker to use for a few hours as i’ve found that to be the custom in every other hostel i’ve stayed in. I think I was just in a bad mood after traveling for 20 hours and didn’t want to have to deal with my phone and credit card just to put my stuff away for an hour. Overall very minor things that I think any person used to backpacking can deal with lol. Would definitely stay again, in fact I stayed there two different times in one month!

Staff can do a much better job of greeting guests upon arrival. Makes you seen and feel welcome. Little effort. Ecomama could promote eco more with more living greenery/plants that are also cared for. Do green it up 2022.
