Update: we contacted them, and they will refund us. Thank you, good service!!We had plans in the area and thought we would treat ourselves to a night in a hotel instead of driving back.We arrived around 18.30 with the reception already closed. The key and room instructions were clear, but it felt kind of depressing.Then the room: the strong smell of air freshner was overwhelming and the room was so basic, it had no warmth at all. We had specifically asked for a double bed, but this room had two instead. And there was no way to contact someone from the hotel to discuss it. Not so nice.Long story short: this room is fine, if you just need a bed for the night, but we were really disappointed and went home instead of staying

The location is great, the rooms are on the small side but look neat, the beds are also fine, as is the shower. It is noisy and you can hear the neighbors talking. I do miss a kettle in the room. The breakfast was well prepared.

Came over for a funeral. The guy on the front desk was super kind and allowed our daughter to check in many hours earlier after flying all the way from Australia. We arrived the day after and were also checked in early. This really made a massive difference to us all.The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Our room looked out over the canal, so pretty. Breakfast was very good. The only criticism is the lack of tea and coffee facilities in room and no air con but luckily it wasn't overly hot, otherwise a perfect stay.

Booked three nights to visit Amsterdam by bike after decades. Forget Amsterdam - mass tourism has made it uninhabitable. But Weesp is beautiful, so we cycled around the town and were thrilled. Never forget to visit the church a little further because it has been converted into a brewery. Our small room in the new building was simple, but with a modern bathroom. We'd love to come back!

The location of the hotel is nice, and that is much I can say. The bed is uncomfortable, there is no mini bar or telephone. No shower gel or black bags for rubbish. Limited pillows. Water cooler outside no water. Breakfast is ok . All in all just a basic hotel that you pay through the nose for . Staff are friendly

The location is great but unfortunately our room was awful.- tiny room: for two people the room was far, far too small. There wasn't enough space for us both to open our suitcases at the same time. The window opened inwards - in order to move around the bed, we needed to close it.- very uncomfortable bed: this was either a cheap foam mattress, or the springs had long since gone. One side of the bed was on a slope.- poor ventilation: we visited in summer and the block our room was in was an absolute sweatbox, humid, stuffy, and deeply unpleasant. The room did have a (very loud) fan but it didn't help much and also it took up even more of our precious little space- noisy: we weren't disturbed at night but we were woken every morning of our week-long stay by noise from the rest of the hotel blockIn summary, the room was very uncomfortable and we did not sleep well in it.Give this one a miss. It's probably cheaper to get a private room in a hostel in central and it really couldn't be any worse.

We stayed three nights for a vacation in Amsterdam. Weesp is a wonderful place and worth a visit on its own. The name of the hotel is very fitting. It is situated in the romantic inner part of the town. The room was cozy and clean, the staff was very friendly, courteous and polite and the breakfast was totally worth it - delicious, big variety and affordable.We would gladly visit again.

Simple & basic hotel, allowing pets in a good location on the waters edge. The rooms have no aircon (but a fan), no fridge and no coffee maker. Good for a one night stop over. There is a great Dutch restaurant next door!

I agree with the latest reviews from Mr. Wester and Rougoor. The room we had was downright unpleasant. The entire atmosphere is more that of an office than of a hotel. The service from the employees is also excellent. It's a pity that smoking is still allowed on the terrace, so we didn't sit there. Breakfast is okay, but the scambled eggs were tasteless. How do you achieve that...All in all not much value for the money.
