The hotel is located in the Red Light district, which can result in quite a high noise level, especially if the windows have to be left open due to faulty air conditioning. The room we occupied was very cramped, and the staircase, with steps that were too small, presented a risk of falling. Additionally, the lack of an elevator can be problematic for people with heavy luggage or mobility difficulties. Finally, no breakfast service is offered on site.

Central hotel, you don't need a car, we store it when we arrive and we drive ourselves either walking or by bus or train, everything impeccable. The stairs are small but it is part of the traditional construction.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk from all the main attractions in Amsterdam, including the Red Light area right around the corner. There were plenty of charming cafes and restaurants nearby, making it easy to explore the local cuisine. Access to the hotel was effortless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Although our original room was a bit small for our needs, they graciously upgraded us to a larger room at a reasonable extra charge. Overall, a delightful experience!Disliked · Our stay had several challenges. The stairs were very steep, making it difficult to climb and carry luggage. Additionally, the air conditioning in the entire hotel was not working, and we were not informed about this in advance or mentioned anywhere on Booking.com. The room size was extremely small, which could be problematic for families traveling with kids. We would recommend considering the room size carefully before booking.

This is the worst hotel EVER. The AC doesn't work, and the staff is rude. I asked for a refund, because I booked through booking I was denied. My room was I the attic. I requested an additional fan cause the Ac was broken, and I was denied. Temps were over 80 degrees. I had small children's in the room with me.

This note is intended to protect other customers from what we had to face. A real nightmare.Here is a short summary:- air conditioning not working (obviously they didn't informed prior arrival) in any room. This means you have to keep the window open during the night, and because of the position (a bad position: in the heart of messy noise and bad behaving people) of the hotel, the noise will make sleeping impossible;- when 'small' is extreme: the bedroom intended (and paid) for two persons could barely contain one; bathroom was so small that it was hard to enter; the room had only one small space on just one side of the bed of 40cm;- dirty: over your imagination;- dilapidated: the window was about to fall down, with a broken piece of wood already fallen on side;- the quality of the bed was extremely poor;- hard to reach: to reach our room we had to walk through extremely narrow and steep stairs, up and down- staff member at the reception was unable to reply our request and complaints:- walls in the inside were so tiny that we could ear other customers in other rooms moving.You won't stay in such an uncomfortable place, even if it was free (on the contrary is expensive!).

I asked the front desk whether I could turn on the air conditioner, but they refused. Their attitude was extremely bad. The room was extremely hot and small. I don't recommend coming here in the summer because they don't turn on the air conditioner. Before booking the hotel, they provided information that they had air conditioner, but they didn't use it. I sweated when I slept at night and didn't sleep well. The sound insulation was also extremely poor. I will not book this hotel again. It was a bad experience.

I only booked for one night but couldn’t get any sleep at all because they gave us a basement room where the room was right next to the public toilet. Worthless sound insulation, unbearable toilet smell. Even if you book from this hotel, make sure that you go with a female partner otherwise they will treat you like an animal !

Good location if your only goal is the red light district. Its small, little space for suitcase and awful, terrible sound isolation! The staff is rude and not friendly. They charge 50 dollars in deposit (Cash!) when you arrive, which they gave no info about.
