For the price, you would expect everything to be terrible. Overall, I absolutely don’t recommend this place. The bathroom was filthy, the room was noisy, and the other guests were rude. but The Staff nice.

Outstanding service and precise. Easy to reach from Amsterdam Centraal, at walking distance. Please consider that the rooms are not located on the ground floor, the stairs are narrow and steepy.

I was looking for a bed to spend a Tuesday night in Amsterdam and the man at the "reception" didn't let me in and I showed him my reservation and he said they were full and two minutes ago I talked to a friend who already had a bed there and people told me that if the man at the door doesn't want then you can't come in. I don't know but for me that's just ridiculous.

The rooms are really small and yeah almost all of the other reviews are somewhat true.
The staff make a lot of disturbance around 10 in the morning everyday.

Stayed here a week ago, very cramped building with tiny staircases. Rooms were small however comfortable. Lockers under the bed were big which was very convenient. Toilet was small and had no ventilation. Great location, near to Amsterdam central.

The location of this place is everything. The rooms are bad. The beds made my back hurt a lot, it was borderline painful to sleep on the beds. The toilet, shower and faucet are all shared by 10 guests at all hours of the day and night so you can guess how many times you'll be woken be people or having to wait a long time to get your turn. It's fine for one night if you can get a good price but don't stay here longer than that. I had to get a real hotel after the first night because of almost no sleep.

Youth hostel right in the center of Amsterdam, the night was not very expensive but my friend and I were the only girls in a room with 8 other boys (dormitories with 10 beds) not very safe… especially since 'a 40 year old man was present in the room, he went back and forth outside, came back shirtless and undressed in front of us without embarrassment, asked for his pants to be put on because he was too lazy to go downstairs from his bed… The toilets were disgusting with piss everywhere. The bed sheets looked clean but I found a dead spider on my sheet. The only advantage was that there is a bin under the bed to prevent our belongings from being stolen but no padlock provided with it, and our bin was broken... at night we heard screams (as if someone was crying) and someone banging on the door of the room above (we wonder what was going on).Not safe for a youth hostel. The only advantage is that it is really in the center of Amsterdam, close to everything.

The friend at the reception was very helpful. The rooms are a little small, but if you plan to stay for 1-2 nights, they are quite adequate. The location is perfect, right behind the redlight, between Dam square and the central train station.

Hi , not recommended. the girl at the reception there in 10 may 2024 was not kind to me, I asked her for 1 night then she asked me about my nationality I gave her my passport , she sad no no only 2 days if u want , I sad : I need only 1 night bcz I already have my return ticket, she sad no without sorry or kindness (chewing gum) and she despised me . I hope that she will be polite next time with customers because not everyone has my immunity and taking the matter from the positive side

Racist and discriminatory welcomeThe person at reception asks us where we come from and our nationality to see if she will accept us or not, then she says an exorbitant price to discourage us but despite that we accepted the price to ultimately tell us that there is no room for us.In short, it was really discriminatory and not cool on the part of this lady who works at reception

The rooms can be called terrible, they are extremely small and it is very difficult to sleep while taking a shower since the shower is in the second room, and if one person pulls the metal tanks under the beds, everyone can wake up. This score is due to its friendly staff and excellent location.

Worst stay I have ever had. The room is extremely small and the window feels like it's an inch wide, you don't really have any privacy, it's dirty and my bedding was filthy. There is only one toilet and one shower for 9 people.
