The windowless cell my friend and I shared in this diamond shaped space ship for 4 nights didn’t have the bunk beds we expected but a double bed, which was a little disappointing at first but not a big issue for us. The door to the bathroom is see-through !!! and there’s no real shower cabin, it’s just right next to the toilet and sink 💀🤡🥸. The cleanliness is a 6/10, we had some hair in our bed and crumbles (?) on the bathroom floor when we checked in. The walls are EXTREMELY THIN, you can literally hear your neighbors fart (I’m not joking). All in all our stay here was just very funny if you ignore the few a little disappointing things and get along VERY well with who you’re traveling with. The staff is very friendly!Due to the interior all in silver, no windows and everything extremely minimalistic you get that space ship feeling you probably didn’t know you needed and because of the University Campus right next to the hotel it’s easy to get to know people and make connections. Our stay was during Halloween and we spontaneously got to join a campus party which was really nice.

I really liked the hotel it’s a budget friendly place to stay in Amsterdam. Your room is in a pod of about 10 rooms and very close and thin walls you can hear your neighbour or doors slamming. The room itself is also quite small and everything fits in a rectangle shape room which includes a bed, desk with shelves and ensuite washroom/ shower. Also depending on the room for single occupancy it’s either a bottom or top bunk. I prefer the bottom bunk as I am short in height. For towels and soap in the main pod area they have a replenishing area, with laundry basket and trash can.I really liked the front desk concierge staff they were super helpful and friendly. They have blow dryers but only 2 for the whole hotel so you need to ask at the front desk. They have a vending machine in the lobby, umbrella and bicycle rentals. Also they have a continental style breakfast in the morning at an additional cost. The closest public transit station was a 15 minute walk to the Ulinstede tram stop that is also by the university. To the main area like Leidseplein it’s about a 40 minute tram ride. Getting taxi or uber is sometimes hard during big events and you may have to walk on to the main road. There are restaurants in the area but they open at specific times like lunch then close for dinner and reopen or open for dinner only until 2100-2200h. I found myself going to the next hotel eating at their restaurant as there weren’t any early or late night options other than ordering delivery.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel in general. The staff is friendly and the room was clean. The room also had a clean bathroom. The only downside is that there is a glass door between the bathroom and the room so you can see through. The location is also pretty okay, it doesn't take too long to the city but it also isn't very short.

Rooms small but good for the price for Amsterdam with a lovely private shower room. Restaurant nice for breakfast by reception aswell with drinks included! One thing to mention is the walk from the tram stop which is very quiet at night so may be an issue for some people who don't feel safe being out alone but other than that I definitely recommend!

First time in a capsule, Diamond is new, clean and well organised, so this was a success! Nice bed (I had upper layer), spacious bathroom, all things considered. Location is nice, close to a university campus with supermarket and several small restaurants.

The hotel is good for resting, the bedding is comfortable but be careful, very small room, no TV in the rooms and the toilets are not partitioned in the room. No coffee machine in the reception hall, a real shame..!! But the staff is very professional.

This hotel is new and very nice. The hotel is quiet and very pleasant. My room was very nice and clean. The location is ok - it's about 7-8 minutes walk from Kronenburg tram station. The coffee and other hot drinks are free for guests. The staff is very nice and price is very good also. I would go back and I recommend this hotel.
