Really good. Cheap. Good drying room. Food delicious. Clean.

Just great. Went there a few weeks ago. The drying room is worth its weight in gold and even in the single rooms you have the feeling of having landed in an old Heidi film. The innkeepers are super nice and the food is absolutely delicious. Keep it up!

Best hut landlord ever: repaired my shoes twice with adhesive tape so that I could make my tour to the Meilerhütte and back downcould.Thank you very much 🙏

The dog (Great Bernard) at least was pleased to see me.There is an excellent drying room.However regrettably overall, the environment was rather unfriendly and somewhat “mercenary”. Staff service is best described as “curt”.As others have commented, what’s with the lack of drinking water? Other huts make available to guests. Seems just a commercial opportunity to sell expensive (small) bottles of water.

A wonderful place with a wonderful view. The Alpine Garden is a must when you are there. In the Schachenhaus there is delicious food and friendly hut hosts. Thank you very much

Why am I giving 5 stars even though the climb (Kälbersteig) is grueling, there is no warm water, no showers, no drinking water, no electricity in the rooms, which are very small and noisy? Because the service is (attentive, super fun, fast, helpful) and the food is tasty and inexpensive. Everything is clean, people are sociable. Plus the view was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Alpine garden and mountain landscape. I'm in love with shock.

Highly recommended to stop by! We offer traditional and very good dishes, including vegan food. We're happy to be there!

Fantastic.King Ludwig II obviously knew what was beautiful.There are different ways to achieve your goal, from easy to relatively difficult.Once at the top there are hearty snacks, Bavarian delicacies and cakes.I was told that some of them are even organic from the innkeepers' own farm.Afterwards, a tour of the castle was on the agenda, which you definitely shouldn't miss.Don't let yourself be spoiled under any circumstances...then it will blow your mind.I was also pleasantly surprised in the evening...half a liter of Aperol Spritz for €7and that in a mountain hut.The night in the mattress camp was pleasant. The camps are not as narrow as in some other huts. Anyone who has often spent the night in mountain huts knows what I'm talking about.The breakfast was buffet style which means no one has to go hungry. There were several types of cheese and sausage, honey, jams, butter, chocolate spread, fruit muesli and cornflakes, yogurt and milk, oat flakes and gluten-free muesli, vegan spread and oat milk, cocoa, coffee and over 10 types of tea. (I must have forgotten something)I'm sure everyone will find something there.Before our visit I read through some recessions and sometimes I no longer understand humanity.(#if someone complains about dry muesli they probably forgot the milk)The demands that some people make lead me to the conclusion that these people have no idea what goes on in a real mountain hut.It also helps a lot to check the homepage beforehand.Anyone who expects spring water from the tap up there probably didn't pay close attention at school.In any case, we really liked it and we'll be back!!!
