We were there once for 3 nights. We met 2 ladies at reception who were extremely accommodating and friendly. We had a good spot with a wonderful view of the Zugspitze, were able to go on good bike rides and were in seventh heaven. The wastewater disposal is great, the opening for the toilet disposal is a bit too high and you have to aim carefully here. For the connection hose for fresh water you need a small thread at 10 cents. For 1 euro, a normal one.We paid 40.80 per night. We'll be back. A higher price like this is definitely acceptable on a longer trip given what nature has to offer.

A lot of money for zero service. The most expensive, dirty and outrageous parking space we have ever visited. Motorhome port is with pebble gravel - would be ok if the showers weren't full of mold and unhygienic. The price of 40 euros is in no way justified. The sink area reminds me of times in Yugolavia in the 1985s. You can tell that the owner of the site has never camped himself. Rip off money, but no service. The electricity costs 2 euros for about 1 hour, the information provided by the operator is not correct.A pitch that we have previously visited for 14 euros including electricity directly on the river with super clean sanitary facilities is preferableWe don't come here anymore. The ADAC receives mail from us with pictures of the condition of the adventure camp. Yes, that was an experience of the worst kind. Stay away and find another place. Oh, the 5 star resort is part of it and costs 80 euros for 2 people.

What a fantastic location, romantic on the river at the foot of the Zugspitze. Simply breathtaking. Grainau is really pretty and you can take the Zugspitzbahn from here.We had two wonderful days at the campsite; the pitches were surprisingly large for us and separated by hedges.The sanitary area was very simple, but warm and clean.The reception staff were extremely polite and provided us with lots of useful information. We would like to thank you for that.A bread roll service is also possible here.We are happy to recommend this place and would be happy to come back.

Prices are really getting too expensive for this place, but that's not the case! I'm with us with a dog, for 2 people at €61.30 per night! The facility isn't that nice!

Even here without a reservation, you pay for your entire stay upon arrival. Then you are assigned a location (unless you are in a tent, in which case you choose where you want/can pitch). The tent area can resemble a bivouac area some nights, with no privacy or tranquility.95 euros per night for 4 people in tents (without electricity), it's excessively expensive...in a bivouac area.Insufficient toilet facilities, there can be a queue at 8:00 a.m., at 9:00 a.m. for the big errand, at 9:30 p.m. for the showers. Sanitary maintenance is sometimes carried out during rush hour (9:00 a.m.) but not carefully, so the sight of a urinal can be traumatic (see photo). Only one toilet block, so it can be far away. Little shade in the campsite. The campsite is on the edge of a busy road from early in the morning, and all day long trucks, cars and motorbikes circulate...and honk their horns, it can be complicated to get out by car.Apart from the tent sites, the campsite looks like a campervan area except for the prices.WiFi only works in front of reception.ALDI SÜD and Edeka nearby for shopping. No pedestrian crossing to cross on this busy road and get there. I have seen some give up.Porsche dealership nearby.Otherwise, the campsite is well located geographically and it only has that going for it.Conclusion:It is excessively expensive considering the services and I will not come back..

Beautifully laid out place with no frills. Very good location. Washrooms tip top. Unfortunately there was no WiFi, at least not on my plot. Network reception is also not optimal.

Perfect location to look at the Eibsee or to go to the Zugspitze with a gondola or to hike up....💪💪💪 the campsite itself is well maintained and is completely sufficient for a couple of nights

The two of us were at the campsite for a few days and it was very idyllic except for the rainy weather. The public transport connection to Garmisch-Partenkirchen as well as to the Zugspitze and the Eibsee is great. There are also supermarkets right next to the campsite. The MA were very nice. For example, an earlier departure because of the weather wasn't a problem and we got a refund.

Unfortunately, even the great mountain view can't change the fact that we can only award 1 star. We have never seen such dirty sanitary facilities. Even after the “cleaning” there was hair and dirt everywhere, only the third toilet could be used, the urinals were completely dirty. The dirt trapping mat at the entrance has never been vacuumed in a week and looks disgusting gray and dusty. No chance of catching any more dirt. The dungeon full of stones, no trash can in the dishwashing room, the squeegee that could have been used to push the hair into a corner of the shower, broken or not functional for other reasons...For us, it is crucial at a campsite that the sanitary facilities are well maintained. We expected that given the price charged here (over €50 per night for a couple with a motorhome).Despite the beautiful location and a large pitch with electricity and water connection, we can never never never recommend this campsite.It's a shame, because the sanitary rooms are not old and are actually young and modern

Place with a view of the Zugspitze. Clean sanitary facilities. Expect a wait at peak times, as of course not everyone can shower at the same time.Eibsee and Zugspitz train station 5 minutes away by car. A bus goes there every hour.Staff very friendly with lots of tips on things to do nearby. Keyword: Stepbergalm Shopping options nearby, just across the street.

Nice campsite to visit the Eibsee and the Zugspitze! Shops are directly opposite! Staff is friendly. Unfortunately there isn't much for children and the playground can't really be used. The "sandbox" is dirty and filled with dirt and stones. Too bad! Otherwise we liked it 👍

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this campsite. We were there with the tent and it was not possible to reserve. We were only told on the phone that we should come before 2 p.m., after that we might not get a seat. The employees were also unfriendly and very abrupt at all times. For two nights with the tent, the two of us had to pay almost 100 euros. Considering that there were no fixed campsites and everyone could just camp wherever they wanted, our tent was completely packed up on the second day. There are 3 tent meadows and all but the "play meadow", which contains a playground for children and is right on the busy road, were full. And this street is actually always loud, at all times of the day and night. In addition, there were no permanent parking spaces, and if you came back by car late in the evening, you might not be able to get a parking space. The reception also closes relatively early in the evening, which I can't understand either. With these prices, I think you can expect there to be a night desk. In addition, the sanitary facilities weren't really clean either. There are also far too few showers for women and there were long queues every evening; I had to wait almost half an hour to be able to shower. There were only 2 hairdryers, neither of which worked. You can tell that the operators of the campsite are resting on the fact that they are close to the Eibsee and the Zugspitze. The only positive thing for us was that the Edeka and the Aldi were directly opposite and you could walk there. We definitely won't come again.

One of the rather small 3 tent areas is near a stream. The noise absorbs a lot of ambient noise. That helped a lot because there was a lot going on here at the end of August, which meant increased volume. For me, earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones are mandatory when sleeping in the tent. The operators were friendly & relaxed and flexible. Toilets/showers well equipped, kitchen rooms available but empty except for the sink and refrigerator. Cooking equipment can be rented.

The price-performance ratio is not right here at allWe paid just under 200 euros for 3 nights with a dog in a comfort pitchThe view was great, the location too, the place was nothing special. We received a very friendly welcome (I expect that given the price). We just stood on pebbles with bits of grass.The sanitary building was a disaster!!! Although the space is not that big, they would have to be cleaned 2 to 3 times a day.Was expecting something more
