A very family-run riding stable with friendly people who make you feel like you're in good hands. A great experience, especially for children. Holidays with an overnight stay are also possible. We can only recommend the farm

We were at the Finkenmühle over the New Year. We felt very comfortable, the furniture was of a good standard and didn't give the impression that it had been used often. We really liked the surroundings, the direct connection to the forest, the location from which we were able to start many great activities and toboggan even without snow. Of course, the trip with the ponies was the highlight for our two girls. The arrangement was absolutely uncomplicated. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to recommend you. We cannot understand the bad reviews from other guests.

It was a really great weekThe staff are very friendly and the horses/ponies are very nice and easy to pet. For smaller ones there is the pony round where they are led either by their parents or holiday children. The apartment was also tidy

Super friendly and great for family vacations

My girlfriend and I went to the riding stables with our 8-year-old children and booked 5 days and 4 nights. The accommodation is top priced, WiFi doesn't work, but we still had decent reception with our contracts. The innkeeper was very nice. Our children wanted to take riding lessons for the day, but unfortunately this could not be planned in advance when booking. According to the innkeeper, you have to write to the riding instructor when you arrive and wait until you get an answer or an appointment. Unfortunately, a riding lesson (20 minutes) could only be booked once a day because there is only one riding instructor here. The riding instructor was very nice, the children learned something new in every riding lesson. The riding lesson was also reasonably priced. It would have been nice if the website said that for beginners, for example, private lessons are only possible and for advanced riders, group riding is also possible. According to the innkeeper, it starts at 4:00 a.m. to feed the horses, get eggs from the chickens and at 7:00 a.m. bring the horses to the paddock, clean the steel, etc... I have to say this almost didn't work at all , our children were almost never involved, they mostly just followed behind, hardly anyone gave them tasks or explained anything. We had the feeling that the holiday children who had probably already been there several times and who had been there without their parents were given priority. They knew the day's routine, which we didn't because they had never been here before. Some of them were ignored. Our children once got up at 4:00 a.m. to watch the feeding etc., unfortunately they were sent away again shortly afterwards, they were quite disappointed because they got up so early. Which I don't find nice at all and which also made me feel very sorry for our children. Actually, we had imagined it differently. The children get to know the process at a riding stable and are explained things, such as how to properly groom a horse or how to put the saddle on it or how to properly clean a stable... Conclusion: The accommodation was great The riding instructor was nice and the lessons were very good, but the rest was not nice (the riding stable process was not explained, children were hardly integrated). I can also take riding lessons with us.
