We just went to the restaurant for dinner after our hike through the heath without making a reservation. We were greeted warmly and immediately offered us a place. The facility and the ambience in the restaurant are rustic, beautiful, but not old-fashioned. We chose the heather char with carrot vegetables, lemon sauce and leek and mashed potatoes. Wonderfully fried on the skin and the side dishes delicious - wonderful. Thank you for the nice evening and the friendly service! We would be happy to come back.

A very nice location with friendly and competent staff. An excellent meal and good drinks. Here you are treated personally and as a guest. We felt extremely comfortable and would love to come back.

On the occasion of a milestone birthday, we spent a long weekend at the Alte Schmiedehof with the family (6 adults and 2 children) and can only warmly recommend this great location in Undeloh. It was a completely successful stay: comfortable holiday apartments with upscale furnishings in an idyllic location with their own terraces facing the paddock (a highlight for the kids, who were allowed to feed an older pony every morning), impeccable culinary cuisine with delicious food and a lovingly set table for breakfast ( no 0815, everything fresh and individual every day) as well as for dinner in the restaurant, here too a great atmosphere inside and outside and very nice, attentive staff. Dishes are a bit more expensive, but the price-performance ratio is definitely right here. Bernd's friendly team pampered us all around and gave us valuable tips for the region. Even the birthday child was surprised with a small cake in the morning. We are thrilled and would love to come back, even if it's just to visit a restaurant again when we are in the Lüneburg area. Overall grade 1 for an unforgettable family trip to Undeloh!

We were at the Alte Schmiedehof again today... Unfortunately we didn't have the experience we expected... Food was great, service not so much... initially the table reserved for us was in the middle of the passage, but luckily that could be changed upon request (twice). . ok... Double espresso ordered, easier one came... was corrected Kaiserschmarren with plum compote ordered..., delivered without compote... another correction.. Digestif (from the tap)... first statement "according to invoice"... make payment the message "is ok not because “Bernd didn’t refill”… Replacement was given (of course? not .., it’s a shame .. we won’t come back that often or recommend it to others..

Mega. A real gem in the middle of the heath. Stylistically appealing, a place to feel good. And the food is simply great. Open kitchen, what could be better? Modern yet classic. Unique in the heath.

We ate there in the evening with a table reservation. I wasn't expecting anything great at all because I always find these heath towns a bit stuffy and stuffy, where you go on a carriage ride with Grandma and Grandpa and then have a good home-style meal... but the restaurant and interior surprised me positively, very rustic, man felt a bit like I was on a skiing holiday in a luxury ski hut. Great food, first-class service and service, at every table there was a small, tiny tap in the wall from which you could draw hazelnut schnapps. The cuisine is more Austrian. Maybe a bit expensive overall. But the ambience, service and quality of the food was worth it.

The Schmiedehof impresses with the quality of the food. The ambience and facilities are nice. The service staff could be more attentive. A big minus point was the waiting time for our food. It took 80 minutes for our food to be at the table. The restaurant was busy but not completely booked. You could have been informed that it would take longer. The long waiting time was also an issue at the neighboring tables. I drove 40 km and won't be back. There are also good restaurants nearby.

We became aware of the Alte Schmiedehof on television. And we wanted to go there for dinner. A very tastefully decorated restaurant. The food is freshly prepared so the waiting time is a little longer. But what you're happy to accept. You can take a look into the kitchen when you visit the quiet place. All in all a successful visit.

Price-performance is not right for me at all. Overpriced for average food at best. The service is also average at best, as a customer you have to draw attention to yourself.The location and ambience are great, so I think it's a shame that they can't do more with a place like this.
