We can't say anything about the rooms, we were on the RV parking lot. We then ran over to look at the castle, past the enclosure with fallow deer and roaring deer. Once we got to the castle, we studied the menu outside and decided to go inside. The ambience is really great and the food is really tasty.

Fantastic lodging and dining experience! We wanted to stay in a castle for a treat at the end of our Oktoberfest trip and found Burg-Hotel Colmberg. Beautiful location with a commanding view of the town and surrounding countryside. The family that has owned the Burg for the last 60 years has done an amazing job of updating, expanding, and maintaining the property while preserving the historical feel that dates back to the 13th century. We stayed in one of the rustic rooms, very comfortable and with modern amenities but with a medieval atmosphere from the wooden beams and decor in the hallways and staircases. The service was first rate and dinner in the restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our trip. A bit off the beaten track but easy access to Rothenburg (one of our favorite medieval towns). There are a lot of recreational activities available in the area that we didn't have time to take advantage of but are planning a return trip in the near future for a more extended stay. Great value as well. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in a castle atmosphere. We had a room on the 3rd floor, where you have a great wide view. Rooms clean and nice. Several hiking trails possible from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, there were even white sausages and wienerle 😁.

The furnishings of the rooms do not correspond to the price level. The friendliness of all employees should be emphasized.
