Aparthotel Domizil

This year from July 22nd. - 29.07. I visited the beautiful island of Borkum for the first time. Since I was a late decision maker and had only booked 6 weeks in advance, the choice of holiday apartments, apartments and hotels was already limited.In the end I decided on the “Aparthotel Domizil”.First of all, I don't regret the choice!Contrary to many not so positive reviews, which I only read after I booked and was therefore very excited to see what awaited me.I will describe my subjective opinion here, but my positive impression.The aparthotel domicile is, as some have written, a bit thrown together and you really get the impression that it was just added to when something was broken.But if you look closely and look at the details, you quickly realize that this is not the case, everything somehow fits together and makes sense when you look at it. So I can only agree with the statement on the homepage “individually and stylishly furnished”.If you now get to know the boss, who was on site every day, you can see where the individuality comes from and who shaped the concept.And I ask you not to read this in a derogatory way, as it is only meant in a positive way!She is very accommodating and always tries to ensure that her guests are well and that they have a nice island vacation. Even with such a chaotic person like me, who never knows whether he eats breakfast or not, she handled things confidently and still had breakfast for me.Finally, let's get to the facts: the room and bathroom were clean and very well maintained.The mattress was great and I was able to sleep very well on it.The coffee machine was an experiment for me; one could think about another ecological variant (Senseo), but luckily I always got my coffee made. Many people can use a normal coffee machine, so I can't deduct any points here.The only thing that annoyed me personally a little was that the curtains didn't darken properly, something could possibly be improved.That's why I can and will only give it the top rating because I was able to spend my vacation in a very nice, hospitable and individual aparthotel.Thanks for that!!!

We (family with 2 children) have been to the “domicile” a few times and are always happy to come back. Great, uncomplicated service and apartments lovingly furnished down to the last detail - plus a great location so you can be anywhere in a very short time. Thank you for a great time!

Rooms are smartly furnished and everything is available. Service makes everything possible and the location is perfect. You hardly cover any meters and can reach everything quickly.

We once again stayed in this wonderful aparthotel with the whole family (2 adults and 2 children, ages 2 and 4 years). As always, everything was great. The staff, breakfast and the rooms were, as always, TOP!Since we have been there a few times, we are always pleasantly surprised at what changes from time to time and how the apartments and rooms are renovated and refurbished. Really nice to see.Our apartment was a 3-room apartment with 2 bedrooms and a living/dining area with kitchen, which has not yet been renovated, but is still very comfortable and leaves nothing to be desired.It's also just great with the children. There is a shed in the courtyard to store strollers, Croozers or balance bikes dry and is equipped with sand toys that you can borrow. There is also a sandpit and, if required, cots and high chairs in the rooms.Everything was great again! We'd love to come back next year!

This year we were guests in the domicile for the third time. As always, we felt very comfortable. The rooms are very nicely furnished, clean and comfortable.This time we skipped the breakfast offer and took care of ourselves. The small kitchen was completely adequately equipped with two hotplates, sink, coffee maker, microwave and kettle. The beds are very comfortable and we rested very well.The aparthotel is very centrally located in the center of Borkum. Still very quiet and everything is within walking distance.The new WiFi is great and watching TV via FireTvStick also works wonderfully.The hostess was very nice and friendly.We'd love to come back.
