Had an amazing time with my mother for her birthday 2 weeks ago!! We shared a room and had the best view of the all the city with the lighthouse, train station, all the day and night people watching, and even the church bells on Sunday and Wednesday!!! The highlight was always the complimentary breakfast each morning!!! Nothing compares to this beautiful spread each morning, in the US, wish they would take lessons, because the breakfast we had each morning was above par!!! Any kind of coffee/hot tea, juice, and the different kinds of cheese,meats, eggs, even salmon cream cheese and bagel lochs!!! German brotchen.. so many different kinds of bread, jams and jellies, even fresh seafood for the toppings on your breads and toast, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh melon, I could go on and on… even once the breakfast was closed at 11am, if you needed. Water, soda, beer, wine, etc.. you could go down to the dining area grab what you wanted and leave a little note so once you checked out, you could pay for it then! We had a little refrigerator in our room, and each day we would go to one of the local grocery stores and get our snacks and beverages and be set for the night, once we were done for the evening! Our windows stayed propped open, bc in Germany all the windows can be either propped open or opened all together.. the fresh cool air at night and in the mornings was so amazing!!! The bathroom was spacious, even a tall wall heater that served as a heater and clothing/towel rack to warm and dry clothes and towels was so great,too!! Each morning during breakfast they would clean the room and set out new towels and take the trash!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I really really enjoyed this beautiful gem of an island!! Mostly the memories with my mother who lives in Germany and I in the US, it was the perfect vacation for both of us! Borkum has so much to see and do! Walking distance to everything and so many cafes and stores and restaurants to choose from!! Was saddened to leave but can’t wait to come back! The little train that takes you to and from the 2 hour ferry ride is so sweet too! The entire experience was amazing!!! Adorable and kind people on the island!! Can’t wait to come back

We are thrilled and will definitely come back! The breakfast is hard to beat, the staff is super friendly. The hotel itself is charmingly old-fashioned, you immediately feel comfortable and in good hands. Not an anonymous castle, but manageable and personal.

Clean quaint rooms, super friendly staff, and great breakfast with just the right amount of selection, and you can't beat the free champagne offered in the mornings. Best location if you're not looking for beach view. This hotel is right in the middle of town. Quick walk to it all. It felt like home.

This hotel gets the full number of stars from me. The first impression yesterday was very good. Lovingly folded towels on the bed, everything was very clean. Very nice and helpful staff. This morning I really enjoyed breakfast. Really great. The location is of course also excellent.Everything is within walking distance and still very quiet.I have often stayed in 4 star hotels that cannot hold a candle to this hotel. I also really like the family atmosphere. Lots of warmth and no coldness!!!!A clear recommendation from me.

One of the most beautiful hotels in a historic building on Borkum. The reception is no longer staffed after 2 p.m. The automatic room key issuance after 2 p.m. is uncomplicated and easy to use.We had two very nice weeks here with a very courteous, always good service that left nothing to be desired. The room furnishings are no longer completely modern, but are in good condition. The bathroom could do with a renovation in the coming years but has always been well maintained.Breakfast was a morning highlight that we always looked forward to the evening before. The selection is wide-ranging and the meatballs were a daily treat for me. The service is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive.The hotel is open 24 hours a day.Due to the exclusive location at Borkum train station, every journey is short, whether to the beach, shopping or eating out.The price-performance ratio is great and I can only recommend the Hotel Weisse Düne if you want to arrive well on holiday, stay there and never want to leave. Many thanks to Mr. Adu and his great team!

The hotel cannot be beaten in terms of location and service! Super nice staff and daily room cleaning. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, there was everything from scrambled eggs to croissants to sparkling wine. The only thing that could be criticized was the soundproofing of the room, but it was very limited and hardly noticeable.

The room was big enough for us.The bathroom has a great shower and the ventilation worked great!The breakfast is varied and delicious.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room service starts a little early, then just put the sign out in the evening.Due to the location you are woken up by the train at 7am, but that was ok.We were very satisfied!

The Hotel Weisse Düne is a small, rustic hotel in a top location with sufficiently large, clean, well-equipped rooms and very comfortable beds.The entire staff was always friendly, helpful and very committed! The breakfast was great and very tastefully prepared, there was something for everyone. Special thanks to Darek for the great service!Due to the central location right next to the train station, the hotel is not for late risers if the windows are open. The first island train arrives at 7 a.m. If they are closed, you could have easily slept longer. We can recommend the hotel without reservation and will definitely book it again and again.Kind regards from Herzogenrath...
