I have read through some reviews and can only relate to them. Yes, there are a lot of steps and stairs, you shouldn't forget how old this house is. Apart from that, the host does not advertise accessibility. Personally, I stay around 60-70 times a year in different hotels and regions. I can only say one thing. The price-performance ratio is more than given here. TheResponse time to emails - promptly, check-in - completely problem-free, breakfast - very good (warm rolls, warm eggs, fresh coffee, regional products). I will definitely have positive memories of this hotel and if I ever need a hotel in the region again, I would love to come back. It is just outside of Dresden, small and nice, without the hustle and bustle of the big city and conveniently located. Many thanks again to the hotel team.

Not recommendable!We booked a room in the Altes Wirtshaus by telephone on February 21st, 2024 for a stay from June 9th. booked by June 13th, 2024 and received a confirmation by email.When we arrived on Sunday, June 9th. When we reached the guesthouse around 5 p.m., we were greeted by the landlord's mother with the words: “My son didn't expect you anymore!” and directed to the parking lot behind the house, where we met her son. In the first breath he pointed out to us that we shouldn't leave any leftover food in the beer garden because he had a problem with raccoons, but the path there was "decorated" with overflowing garbage cans. At the entrance from the beer garden to the house we found a standing ashtray overflowing with cigarette butts. Even we as smokers noticed this very negatively. The house itself smelled musty and musty, was very dark and the inventory was ancient!When I booked by telephone in February, I asked the landlord for a barrier-free room because my husband is severely impaired in walking due to two artificial knee joints, which the landlord also promised me. In the house itself we finally saw that every room and the house can only be reached via steps and ours in particular via a steep, narrow spiral staircase made of wood. That no longer had anything to do with the landlord's promises. When we asked, he offered us another room. I asked if this would be rented to us for the same price (no, just an extra charge), then the landlord became rude and loud: “No! If you don’t want to, you can drive again.”. When I asked why he was raising his voice now, he replied again and again rudely: “You don’t have to stay!” We then finally left and were able to find another place to stay that Sunday evening with difficulty.The landlord's behavior towards us was impossible. We have been able to get to know various accommodations through many motorcycle tours, but we have never encountered such behavior before. That is not how it works!

Very cozy, clean family hotel. A very neat bathroom, nothing drips, runs, or splashes, I like it when there is a care. The host with a big smile. We slept well, ate deliciously, the buns were fresh and hot! It's quiet, you can't hear the noise of cars, only the voices of birds. Please check in no later than 21:00. I definitely recommend this hotel when traveling.

Highly recommended. Everything was very clean and friendly. Breakfast is the perfect start to the day. There was everything your heart could desire. The coffee tastes delicious and you can't find the fresh rolls everywhere. If you're looking forward to bed and breakfast, you won't be disappointed here.

Well located for those who like solitude. The service was very good. The food is top class. It is rare to experience such quick and courteous service. The rooms were very nice and attractively furnished. Only the floorboards creaked in places, but that's the way it is in an "old inn" that has been lovingly renovated into a pretty hotel.Thanks to the team for the successful event.

The hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful location, a short distance from Dresden.We received a very hospitable and friendly welcome from Christian and Almuth and we will certainly return here soon.The breakfast is great. Very extensive and everything fresh. The rooms are also fine. Not large, but everything is clean and cozy.The mattresses are wonderful, so we slept very well.I don't understand the bad reviews, because from us this hotel and its owners get a big 10.

We booked by phone and confirmed our arrival several times.When we got to the hotel, there was no one there and, according to telephone information, the owners were unable to provide the room we had booked.We had to look for a new hotel.Never recommended again!

Staff quite friendly, food looks good and tastes good. However, there were spiders and webs in the empty glass on the table when we came in, which didn't exactly leave a good first impression.
