We spontaneously stayed here for one night and had a place right in front of the water with a really beautiful view and wonderful peace. For motorhomes there are only these 6 places at the front, everything else is firmly in the hands of long-term campers.But that’s it for my positive review.The place is very old, which is not a problem. But that doesn't mean that the washhouses have to be completely dirty and completely worn out. Only the washhouse, which can only be accessed with a key, was somewhat OK, but also far from clean. We even preferred to do the washing up in the camper.You can book the place online, but only cash payment is possible on site 🤔

Friendly owner. Mainly long-term campers. Parking space right on the water. You can swim in the reservoir, sup, kayak and so on... I generally love this place.Sanitary facilities are actually nice if you clean them. But I'm always happy to come back.

In itself, this is a beautifully located campsite.Booking and payment options from the last millennium. You get the feeling that neither the long-term campers nor the staff are interested in customers.The "security" staff is massively unfriendly and treats adults like small children.Do not book a parking space, this means the parking space on the street and therefore you do not receive any added value.If you want to camp, you have to carry EVERYTHING 400m downhill. No alternative transportation options are even offered.This campsite will die with its hospitable residents. Thank God.NEVER AGAIN.

Went on a camping weekend it was very good. the receptionist was very friendly and flexible with me. The only thing that maybe I didn’t not like much that I ended up in family area. the kids were screaming all the day and night. I would make sure next time to check the singles area before setting up the tent. Totally recommended and I would surely go there again.

The campsite is fine, but I've seen nicer ones.Staff is extremely unfriendly.Security went around in the evening and told everyone to be quiet, without a greeting and in a super unfriendly tone.For me it was the last time at this campsite.In my opinion, price/performance isn't really right either

The landscape is very beautiful, but the location of the caravan sites are very far away from the lake and unfortunately unkempt.Rarely have we experienced such dirty sanitary facilities, even though 99% of the space is used by long-term campers.If you leave your seat a minute late when you leave, you will be stuck in a traffic jam in front of a closed barrier for two hours, even though you have already checked out. Then the lunchtime rest applies.The focus here is on the long-term campers, guests don't seem to be valued much.You notice that relatively quickly.To make matters worse, only cash payment is accepted and a deposit is required.Once and never again.Even the most beautiful lake is of no use...

The location by the lake is great.The sanitary facilities are super unkempt/dirty, there was no sign of cleaning in between.Everything is a little run down...

Very rude employee was immediately suspicious of us three young people because we are young people. We only wanted to pay the deposit with our parents and she wanted to add €60 to the total price because the deposit would be €140, she wanted €150, we gave her the €140 € given and she: I don't know after her children behave so rudely I cancel her reservation and exercise my right to stay. We asked for your boss who unfortunately couldn't be reached so we can't do anything, but now we may have to pay fees for a very rude greeting in which the words are twisted in your mouth and you're attacked just because you're young 😒 were happy to give minus stars if possible 😡🤬

The motorhome parking space by the water offers a fantastic view of the dam. There is nothing more positive to report. The price is quite high for what you are offered and is, in keeping with the times, only payable in cash. WiFi is not available. The sanitary facilities were extremely dirty and nothing was cleaned during my three-day stay. Such a situation is unacceptable. In general, the place is quite run down and not well maintained. There is no gray water disposal station for mobile homes. Definitely my first and last visit.

I have never booked a room on the Bever, but I have camped there many times. The places there are great and there is a lot of space. The employees there have always been a bit annoyed by the people in the tents, which is why it gave a strange aftertaste. Otherwise a beautiful swimming lake and great forests and meadows! Very popular on a hot day and very busy!

Beautifully located campsite.Service -1 point if I could give it.My son (16) and his friend (15) were very rudely chased from the campsite at 9:30 p.m.Because they had set up their tent on the tent meadow on Saturday evening (there was enough space). After the groundskeeper was back on site after hours, they wanted to register and pay.Unfortunately, I, the father, had reserved a neighboring campsite.The children were forced to dismantle in a very unfriendly manner and were told to immediately walk to the campsite 2 km away.Child protection does not seem to be understood at the campsite.So I was able to travel from Wermelskirchen (15km) and help the boys.A very impudent way!

Pitch right on the water was beautiful. Sanitary facilities were only somewhat closed off, clean is different. Toilets and showers at the campsite were dirty and there was no one there to clean them for at least a week. Very poor internet connection, WiFi not available. Place also seemed unkempt.

We were camping there with friends on 2 pitches, unfortunately the specialist staff didn't think ahead and we were 6 pitches apart, even though both were booked together.When we asked whether the seats could be swapped, we were told this was not possible, even though there were still seats available. It was also not possible to cancel a place.For your information: Pitches without a lake view are located at the top of the slope and directly on the road, long paths to the water and noise pollution.The pitch wasn't great. The place was sloping, had ruts, bumps and a huge hole where you could easily break your feet.The space markings were difficult to see and none of the staff paid attention to adhering to the boundaries, so we had to settle for half a space.At night the electricity was turned off from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., which is not possible.—ATTENTION TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE DEPENDENT ON A SLEEPING DEVICE—The toilets were already dirty when we arrived on Friday and were not cleaned until Sunday.The husband really didn't feel well, the journey was also a complete disaster - you had the feeling that the good woman had no idea what she was saying.The swimming area on the lawn wasn't great either, it was muddy and it was an uneven lawn.Conclusion If you are looking for rest, relaxation, cleanliness, service and a nice place, this is the wrong place.
