We needed a break after a long hike and came across this charming inn. Although we were the last guests on this weekday after 8, we still got dinner from the menu - freshly prepared and the salad and meat were very well seasoned and marinated. Our highlight, however, was the long and interesting conversation with the hut landlord: about taking over the inn, the changes in Thuringia since the fall of communism and current tourism. Thank you very much for the experience and the good hospitality!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a few days of peace and quiet and found this! A beautiful, historic little inn with clean rooms and comfortable beds, which is lovingly run by a family. Located in the middle of the forest on a hiking trail, we were able to walk to the town of Oberhof (approx. 15-20 minutes) and also all the special hiking trails, for example along the sports facilities. Oberhof can be reached by car in about 3 minutes. The breakfast is lovingly selected and of high quality. You can use a tea maker in the dining room all day long, which I personally really liked. In the evening you can have dinner in the cozy dining room until 8 p.m. What particularly struck us here was the special quality of the meat and the warmth of the young innkeeper, who always tried to read every wish from everyone's lips.There is definitely more going on here in the high season/ski season, but the quiet and calm atmosphere here at the end of March was just right for us!! Thank you for the three wonderful days, the delicious homemade cake and the warm care. We'll definitely be back!

Small, enchanted inn in the forest. Only found by chance! There was good home cooking, barrel brews and the forest for free! A real recommendation if you are in the area.

Idyllically located guesthouse about 1.3km from the town center in the valley. Basically everything is fine, but part of the house is in need of renovation. Old carpet in the hallways and mildew and mold stains in the window area. A musty smell wafts through the hallways. Unfortunately, the kitchen closed at 8 p.m. in the restaurant and we had to find other supplies. The breakfast was sufficient and the host family was friendly. All in all, good value for money for a World Cup week.

Had dinner here at the inn. Service is very nice, the food is cooked by the boss and tastes wonderful, portions are large. A little insider tip because the inn is located just outside the town center 🤫
